David Cameron:

"I am wealthy, I have had a wonderfully secure and fortunate upbringing, and I went to a great school.

"But I don't think in our country today that that should disqualify you from talking about issues and from making the changes you want to see in this country."

I vaguely agree in that an elected representative should be able and allowed to represent his constituents whoever they be. And if you're successful because of factors such as wealth, education and family, you should damn well be trying to extend that to everybody. But gosh, Dave. That's really not how you put it across.
