SO seriously where the hell did all these "libertarians" come from. THere honestly seems to be a whole flock of them, and many in my opinion aren't really libertarians but are people who aren't served by either of the two major parties ( Read more... )

- I think so. I'm a paleo-conservative/constitutionalists. Libertarians want open borders and I'm not down with that.

- That's what we have and they aren't doing that. They are taking away liberties. We don't need a large central government. We need a small one and let each state make the laws that best suits it's people. That's the way it was intended and that is the best way to deal with it. For instance, Roe vs. Wade is a highly contraversial issue. Instead of some central government passing a law (unconstituionally by the way) and making 50% of the public abide by something they don't support they should follow the constitution and let the states deal with it. That's the fair way to do it.

See I disagree on the small government thing. The Articles of Confederation was intended to be that way, and the result was a government so weak it was unable to sustain itself ( ... )
