Letter sent to Ira Flatow and Science Friday

Ira,

This comment spans more than just the show tomorrow since you speak on other shows and in other forums about the ID/Evolution debate.

Kansas has it precisely correct, we need to return to the definition of science to frame the debate: ( Me being wordy...as usual )

One of the students here is in a science "capstone" class (where they try to get the humanities students to think about science, the science people to think about humanities, etc.) and she had to poll people about how they felt about this whole debate.

The above is pretty much exactly what I said. Science is *science* and intelligent design doesn't have anything to do with science. Whether it is correct or viable or whatever else, it is NOT science. If they wanted to put it in a philosophy class, I would have no problem with it. But science? No.

(She was a little surprised at my vehemence, and my insistence that it wasn't science, no matter if they call it "creation science" or what.)
