That one's a bit tacky, but generally I find them awesome. A certain group of friends has talked for years about going to the WeHo Costume Carnival as the Addams Family, and that would rock. It's never happened. Bah. (This year, there was a gay couple there as Eddie and Grampa from The Munsters, and they were rad!)

Occupy Sesame Street was another good example of a group I saw this year. Overall, I'd say groups make a fantastic costume statement, often far better than a single person could ever achieve alone.

I really enjoyed this post. You write about this topic very well. There are many cherished moments in life, why not wear a beautiful dress! When looking back on special memories of your child wearing a gorgeous dress, it will make a fond memory.
