U2 played loud and clear on the car stereo, and Chase turned it up a little as he cruised along the freeway towards Wilson's home. Oh sure, he could have gone home after work, crashed and gotten a good ten hours of sleep before the next round of tests with their oh-so-delightful patient ...

But quite honestly? He needed something other than sleep. He needed comfort, safe haven, and as much as he cared for varying members of his family ... the only person who ever made him feel truly safe was James Wilson.

He turned off the freeway, darting the Porche through the Princeton streets until he reached the other man's brownstone, pulling up behind the M3. It was that 'Come Hither' smile that started to wake Chase up - that made him return the smile with a touch of confusion. Curiousity made him move forward as he unthreaded the tie from around his throat, closing the distance between the front hall to the kitchen where ...

Where everything was just perfect.

Chase breathed in - looking around with a expression of soft wonderment flashing over his face. Candlelight and good smelling food, flowers and mellow music, but best of all?

James in something soft looking and smiling at him. Maybe a little tired, but altogether charming and handsome. Chase moved towards him like a moth drawn to his flame of choice, unbuttoning his collar as he swooped in and stole a kiss from those smiling lips. "Hi, yourself. What's all this?"
