Good to hear you're back, bubba, but you might want to cool the jets on the rhetoric. Seriously. The rule of law is what we're concerned about here, after all. I'm sure you're not the only vet who feels betrayed, however.

Watching the polls carefully to see where the public comes down on this. If they split on partisan lines, the administration has breathing room. If they go against the party line, both the GOP and administration are in big trouble.

A FISA judge resigned in protest today. He was a Clinton appointee, but that's still got to send a shiver down the spine of the perps here. It's enough to dry out a mouth or two.

Now go teach those buggers to think!

The way I see it (and this is slightly bent legal reasoning), if any of those guys in Iraq'd put one in DC, it would have been completely justified based on his behavior in relation to that oath they all took to the Constitution. We really can't do it here because the military isn't supposed to operate inside the country's borders;-)

I mean, seriously, the object of the game is to use deadly force to protect our country and its laws from it's enemies, right? Well, I submit that George W. Bush and Dick Cheney are greater threats to the U.S. than any random poor Iraqi bastard in some secret torture chamber could ever possibly be. Nobody in al-Zarqawi's bunch can subvert the Constitution.

Deadly force sucks to have to use. Let's be efficient about it and put it where it needs to be to end this crap: between the ears of Voldemort and Kreacher.

(Yes, it's hyperbolic rhetoric, but the sad part is, it makes sense...)

Glad to see an update. I'll be in Tampa for New Years at a friends house. But only for one day.

Whaddaya know, I am *also* working in a coffee shop. We can be twinsey-bobs. Only mine's not corporate...which is why it'll probably close before I know it.
