You state "don't throw away stuff that's not yours." I think an "except if it's somebody's stuff that no longer works at the organization you're working at" clause is in order, too. I mean, are you supposed to keep those documents around in perpetuity? Unless they were somehow marked or organized in such a way that they appeared to be "permanent records" as opposed to "leftover piles on somebody's desk," I say your "good riddance" attitude was the right one.
On to Festivus, regrettably I've never attended any festivities marking the occasion, and this year will be no different. I have to say, though, I think it would be better if instead of fake but clever grievances people really let it fly. I mean, we all have grievances. Why not have a day where everybody is expected to air them? It'd be like "Liar ( ... )

So you're an advocate of an actual day of grievances? Interesting concept. I don't know if I could handle the onslaught of criticisms, though.
