Hey Jami, I wanted to post this info in Desi's journal, but I cant *sad* her settings wont let me, but heres the info I wanted to share.. in regards to int'l volunteer work:
in case you didn't know, there is also the option of working w/ the Peace corps, www.peacecorps.gov I'm looking into doing it at some point in life.. maybe after I hopefully get a masters degree.. I know that you go thru 3 months of training, and you serve for 2 yrs, the u.s. gov't pays for everything -like your transportation, medical costs, to name a few, and get paid a $6,000 "readjustement" stipend when you come back, in order to be able to afford to live in our "real world" again
