Mark Twain - Adventures of Huckleberry Finn

So, I started reading "The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn" recently. I read "The Adventures of Tom Sawyer" last year and promised myself I would read Huck Finn's story as soon as possible - which is apparently 10 months later. Ergo, I'm sloooow.

Like with "Tom Sawyer" I like the book fine enough for now - but it hasn't really caught my interest yet ( Read more... )

books, mark twain, american literature, novel, american classics, adventures of huckleberry finn, book covers, classics

I like that observation about the writing a lot. I don't remember that!

Yeah, not the best choice, Penguin Classics. Unless that was intentional, who knows.
I like the smoke one quite a bit!

I think it's hard to remember stuff like that when you didn't notice it while reading :-)! At least that's the case for me - ask me anything about the plot- but don't ever try to ask me about storytelling techniques after I've read something because I won't have a clue xD! I like to pay attention to these things sometimes though - particularly when I like the book. Just in case I do manage to write a story one of these days ;-)

Haha - usually the penguin classics are so pretty! But this one ... Can't unsee what I've seen now!
