So, making myself a cup of tea or coffee is still a bit of a science, since I have to pour the hot water into a glass inch by inch in order to gauge how much more heat the glass can probably take. Shakespeare always seems to make more sense if read in its entirety than in excerpts. Like translating something, it's easier to get the gist from a whole sentence than just a few words, haha.

You're right, of course :). I think because you go in with the expectation that you're not going to understand anything, it's all the harder to read in the beginning - and all the more surprising when you do begin to understand later on!

And amen to translating - I've been studying Chinese for the last couple of years, and when I get hung up on individual words stuff doesn't make sense AT ALL!

Oh gosh, Chinese kicked my butt. I took it for a year and can only say hello and goodbye now. I remember being completely stumped by half the rules, but it was good fun.

It's difficult! And even after five years I still feel like I'm barely able to go shopping xD! Such a difficult language! (Even if the characters ARE beautiful!)
