 Homemade Roast!!!  It wasn't as good as I had hoped, It was on special at the local grocery store.  If you bought the roast, which was a chuck roast, you got a bag of potatoes, carrots, beef broth, onions, apple pie and a roaster pan for free.  It was a good deal, just not quite sure if it's the type of style my mom used to make.  It didn't fall

Sweet deal! I guess english roast is the best for pot roast. I always get chuck roast though, thats what they sell at the commissary. What store did you buy it at?

oh and I meant to say my last 2 haven't fallen apart either. I bought one more just yesterday and if it doesn't work this time, I'm going to buy my meat from kroger probably.

Next time - do it in the crockpot for about 12-16 hours on low - it comes out amazing.
