Day 6 - Your definition of love, in great detail
Of course, we would pick something that I could write pages and pages about. Here goes.
I believe that love is more than a biochemical dance in our brains. I know for sure that there are biochemical reactions responsible for our feelings, for our sense of trust, and our attraction to certain people. I believe that love is more than this, but that these are also necessary for us to experience love.
But to be fair, we also experience love for things, events, animals, things both living and non-living.
So I define love as that something that makes you go to great lengths to keep and maintain. This goes for people, places, and things. With the people we love, we invest our time, our money, our effort, parts of our memories, intellect, emotion, and passion. With places that we love, we visit and make the financial sacrifices necessary to return there. With things that we love (like music, theatre, dance, possessions), we make time for them, spend money on them, cherish them, relive the experience, pay for lessons, practice/rehearse.
That which we love we make time for. So when you're ready to put something else on the shelf so that you can have this particular entity in your life - that's love.
