Gazette review - London 27th 2007
Friday 26th:
I got woken up, feeling rather sleepy to, and spent far longer than I should of wandering around flapping a bit, finally getting in the shower minutes before Dan ”cloudsovertokyo” arrived, and spent until nearly twelve flapping around when my dad gave us a lift to Cholsey station where we caught the train to Reading and got on the incredibly packed train from there to London Paddington where Juliet ”prostheticheadx” was lucky and had a reserved seat. >O Luckily it was only half an hour and standing up wasn’t to bad! We got off, had a few difficulties with buying our tube tickets due to those machines not taking any notes. D: I had to go get my £20 changed to coins! FINALLY, we get on the tube and find our way to the hotel, gathered the stuff from all my luggage to camp out with and walked to the venue, getting there at about five-ish, feeling a little silly when we arrived, but I got to stroke Rave’s fluffy Daigo Stardust coat! <3 I met Rowan, who’s really nice and Juliet and me showed her the Sendai Kamotsu PV for Kamisama Mou Sukoshi Dake. Utter love and retarded ness. Juliet stayed with us until about 7-ish when she went to meet her parents and have dinner, as she wasn’t allowed to camp out. D:::. But I went off and got some food in Sainsbury’s with Dan after that, and sat in the queue eating it and talking a bit. Andii appeared with a giant blow up penis by the name of Ruki. Unfortunately he got a great big rip in him, however he promptly became a giant water filled dripping penis. 8D. Rachael called me and we rambled a bit and she thought I was insane for sleeping out and that I’d be cold. But hah. I wasn’t! 8D. A lot of the rest of the evening was a blur, but it was still fun anyways, just full of general silliness, morons asking what we were queuing up for and the like. The security left open the toilets open the venue especially for us, even though the police wanted them closed. Have a guess at the reason? Well, I’ll tell you, There’s a gay bar around the corner somewhere and after they’re kicked out, guess what happens if they don’t shut the toilets? XDDD *coughs*. I met Mia who randomly came up to see what the queue was like and sat down and we talked a bit, she had a LOT of drink with her, and I stole some~<3 we sat there talking, I buggered off when Becky called me, she was going to come up and camp with us, but she didn’t in the end. :/ I found Mia again afterwards; apparently she had gone to go get more alcohol! XD Dan spent a lot of the evening taking pictures of people and the queue, finally having the camera taken off him by Farrah, who went round taking more photos! XD Rave drew the katakana for Gazette on both my arms in permanent marker. Which won’t come off. not that I actually want it to come off, but that’s not the point! I also somehow gave Rowan the nickname of “Normal Norman”! XDDDDD
Next thing, its about 1.30-3am and its when all the drunken morons are being kicked out of pubs, bars and clubs onto the street to cause more havoc. Just being rude and generally disruptive. Finally Rowan had enough and went to get the security to tell them to politely fuck the hell off and leave us alone. :3 not before they started being physical - they took those who were sleeping on the corner’s hats off and took their things and stuffed camera in their faces. D: that’s London for you! And I heard from Rowan who didn’t sleep at all that night, that there wasn’t a single time where everyone was asleep, sadly. I like talked to Andrea randomly until I actually managed to fall asleep. Oh yeah! Andii was like “who wants hot dogs!” at like three am and I said I’d share one! And she let me have half free of charge! Which was really nice, thank yoooou <333
Saturday 27th:
I got a wake up glomp from Juliet who came running up to me, still caterpillar-ed up in my sleeping bag at about six am. Which to say was VERY warm indeed, only problem was the hard uncomfortable concrete floor that was there. Next time I’m taking something to pad it out a little. >_>;; possibly the most effective alarm clock I’ve had yet actually! :DDD I managed to get myself about three hours sleep. >3 At about seven-ish, a few people went off to McDonalds (Classy eh?) to get hot chocolates and coffees. Rowan dipped someone’s hash brown in her hot chocolate, and I tried some, and for some un explained reason, it was actually nice, however she dropped a rather unhealthy sized lump into the cup and it smelt rather funny and had grease rising to the top o___o;; Some guy, who I’m not entirely sure of who he was, found a big cut out of this mouse from Ratatouille and stuck it Andrea’s face for her to wake up to, then stuck it in Dan’s! Which I think scared him! >3 *snorts* Someone suggested waving it around in the concert, but unfortunately the rat met its end before that could happen, it was ripped to pieces and well, that was the end of that! XD Some people were running around in cardboard boxes, which was very entertaining to watch, as one of the people in one who was wearing the biggest one was knocked over when another box guy ran at her. XDD :3 Then not much really happened for an hour or so…
Until Gazette’s busses and vans turned up. And seriously; Oh my god. They had two big red busses; one was a double-decker, and the other a normal coach type bus and a huge lorry type thing with a gigantic sticker of them in their stacked rubbish costumes. We watched as it manoeuvred. I took lots of photos of it, some of which came out kind of retarded and dark, but you can still see what it is! And lots of people drew on it with their fingers through the dirt, I got my hand batted away a bit by some dude but I don’t know who he was, something to do with Gazette though! XD but we went and stood near the double-decker bus for sometime, obviously waiting for them to come out, even though it was inevitable they weren’t going to come out yet! And Juliet clung to my arm, and me to hers! But we got told to go back to the line a few minutes later because they were sleeping. >3< (the back of my mind was going, well Duh, they’ve just come all the way from France for fucks sake, they’re going to be asleep aren’t they!? *face palm* and the front of my brain was like “awww, that’s so cute, sleeping Gazette, I bet they’re all snuggled up or something equally cute >3<”)
Juliet and me went back to sit in the queue and warm up a little, and talk about it. A little while later one of Rave’s friends, who stole my speaker cube for the day [and who was quite cool! ^_^] was walking round and telling us that their busses got a parking ticket. A fucking parking ticket dude. Like what the fuck!!!!! We stood and watched the guy write the tickets and I think it was Andii and the girl in the cat kimiguru got us to point at him and go “LOL” several times! 8D I have a photo of the guy walking around. But omg, it was so fucking funny.
Yet again, we went back to the queue and sat around eating a little chatting and such. Rachael wandered up the queue and found me after they arrived at about ten-ish and I hugged her I went and talked to them where they were and Becky went off to get credit, and I went back to go and find Dan and we headed off to mine and Juliet’s hotel to get changed around eleven-ish, I took a far shorter time to get ready than Dan did, so I just walked back to the venue as there was really no point me waiting an extra hour or two. I found Juliet and said hello~ I didn’t miss anything, just them rearranging the busses! XD or something equally fun! :3 I went to get some food after Juliet had eaten her sandwich, and I ate it then went back to Becky and Rachael. I took Rachael to see the bus, and we wrote, “we love you” on it and I drew some hearts around it and took a picture. :3. She gave me a piggy back, and we ran up and down the line a couple of times like that! and I fell over on the barrier thingy where she was sitting and pushed it backwards, stole Becky’s rice cakes and sat on both of them! 8D Me making very silly noises! >_>;; It was still fun! I got Becky’s ticket off Dan when he got back which was at like one-ish o___o;; and couldn’t find her! They came to find me and I kept pulling the ticket away from them, which was rather amusing as they were on the other side of the barrier *cough* :3 I did give it to her in the end, lol! I went off for a walk with Becky and Rachael and we walked aimlessly round the near vicinity of the Venue and finally walked up the way where the hotel was and Rachael started doing her hair, and I just danced around feeling kind of energetic all things considering. Me and Rachael were just calmly watching the Gazette bus, when who should just casually get out of it, but little Ruki, with some random guy. He had these big brown pimpy glasses on, one of those face masks the Japanese wear when they’re ill and this great big gold-ish man bag! And watched him go in the side door, then a few moments later, the guy come out and shut the bus door, because he forgot to! I did a flip inside when I saw him go into the venue; it made it feel that little bit more real. After a bit, what I recognise as their manager, came out and crouched down outside double doors for a fag! 8D Rachael and me giggled madly and hugged each other! >3< Poor Becky missed it, she only saw the random guy! Buwhahaha! Awww!! He was so cute! *Squeals*. I bounced over to the line and told Juliet and those near me and they were like “*___*” *giggles* that bit just made me so happy! <3 He looked so cute and he walked really fast to the hall, I think he might have thought he’d get molestedmobbed or something if some people noticed!
The rest of the afternoon passed and I skipped from parts of the queue almost constantly, I was really on edge and happy and couldn’t sit still for long plus moving kept me warm! :3 but about three-ish I wanted to see how long the queue was and I walked with Rachael and Becky to the end and spotted Mia again, sitting on the floor with some apple alcohol stuff and four pints of cider. :D *lol* but I headed back to the front, and a think I walked around with Rachael and Becky a bit more, and went into the bathroom, getting nervous = needing toilet muchos! XD Rachael tried putting fake eyelashes on Becky, which was funny to watch. And there was a LOT of noise coming from outside the toilets, which was actually a bunch of people dancing and singing various songs, namely some Dir en grey and Gazette! It was just outside the lifts, so anyone trying to go in or out would have been fucked. Or just scared rigid!
But yeah, they were letting us in at six instead of seven <3 so we were all bustling around trying to get in line at about half four, picking up our crap and moving it way up and trying to cram as much as we could into on bag. Fucking rip off cloakroom, £2 an item. D: but oh well! We stood like that, counting down the time for like an hour! Talking nervously and getting cookie stuffed into my face by Rachael! XD and about 10 minutes before we were let in, the guy who bought the spare ticket from me turned up, and I handed it to him and was like “phew” finally. Soon enough they were moving the queue jumpers to the back. Which I was pretty happy about. :3 Luckily no one pointed to Rachael or Becky coz I let them, in just before things really started happening. They slowly started letting us in just after six, and I frantically ran up the stairs after Juliet, and got told to stop running by some guy! I was seriously on edge and not quite sure what was happening. We were kind of squashed and people kept pushing from the right and behind and nothing was happening. We were kind of sideways and getting hotter and more nervous as the moments went on. I took a picture of the stage, just as Andii was yelling “no flash” XDDD *cough*. But I put my camera back in my pocket and was standing there frantically texting Jenny and Danie. :33
The actual gig:
A few technicians came out and started tuning the instruments, and when they picked up Reita’s bass, I nearly cried right there. It was just like woah. I wasn’t quite aware of it until he started playing it. And when they had Aoi’s acoustic. I was just like “*___*, this isn’t real .___.;;” Someone brought out water bottles, with straws in, and I giggled, it was to cute~<3 so I just had to take a picture of that. I saw some guy putting silver tape around the edge of Ruki’s box thingy. Some chants of “GA-ZE-TO” and “GazeROCK is not dead”. (For some reason I thought they were saying GazeRock is ok” o__O) A few moments later a woman from CLJ records came out and was like “Who’re you gonna see?!?” and got a loud scream in reply of “GAZETTOOOOOOO!!!”, she asked us not to take pictures or throw stuff on the stage. The “who’re you going to see?” was repeated a couple of times. Trying to hype us up. Not like we actually needed it!! XD The security people were already passing cups of water around, as everyone was sweating like crazy.
The CLJ record woman person went off stage and Art drawn by vomit started playing and Kai appeared first, then I think Aoi and Reita and Uruha, then Ruki last, who might I just add has a bulging crotch. *___* in those really sexy shiny trousers with this shiny strip down his crotch which made it just that little bit obvious. It felt so freaking surreal. But I heard so many people yelling “Hey Jesus suck my frying pan” I kept thinking, I wonder if Ruki noticed or just thought we were singing it how he sung it. *Snorts* Next it was Agony, which was just amazing. I sung along and bounced and was feeling just generally really fucking happy, however my top kept falling down that’ll teach me to wear a strapless top to a gig >_> I sung to as much of it as I possibly could. All the “Oh shits” and his sexy English. It was mind blowing, and such a great start to a concert. Hyena was next, which sounded so good, and is such a good live song. Really dandy and brilliant to dance to. Next was Filth in the Beauty which sounded perfect. The version on the meaningless art DVD was great, but this one, was perfect, I couldn’t spot any flaws in it. ♥ I think it was sometime bow that Ruki started rubbing his crotch madly whilst standing on his box. And oh yes, it got bigger. *Cough*. Ruki really knows how to turn an audience on. ;D When Burial Applicant began I felt just so.. So… almost nervous, but so happy and just damn emotional. But it’s so amazing live. Just guh.
They had a quick water break thingy and had their backs to us, etc and Ruki came back with this rose in his mouth. And I could just tell it was Ganges ni Akai Bara. He pulled the petal off slowly, dropping them on his box, and tossed the stalk into the audience, lucky person who got that. He was crouched down and picked up the petals and let a few flutter into the audience. That song was never really top now, but it’s moved up a lot, it’s really beautiful, and every time I hear it I know I’ll think of what Ruki was doing.
Sugar Pain. Ruki was well apparently horny as fuck. I’ve always loved this song, but he made it seem even sexier. He licked his finger and was trailing it up and down his chest, and ended up rubbing his crotch. hard. Rubbing like crazy *___*. He did some other rather sexy stuff, spat on stage.
Next they did a couple of “calmer” songs, which were nice to hear after the loud head banging style ones from before. They were just so beautiful - Calm Envy and Gentle Lie
I was SO glad they played Taion he was leaning over his box, and started singing without any of the others and without the mic. I couldn’t believe how powerful his voice was. It was breathtaking. Except for the stupid fan that yelled and he paused and waited for them to shut up before continuing that bit before the real start of the song. That was just rude. But wow. It’s a really beautiful song. I know I’ve said this before. But everyone was swaying and head banging at the right moments. And Ruki was doing his almost “possessed body” impression on stage. And of course, Chizuru followed which was so real. I absolutely love that song. Those two fit so well together and have so much emotion packed into those few minutes. ♥
The next few songs were a slight blur for me as I was feeling incredibly claustrophobic, squashed, overheated and had these two bitchy girls next to me, one of which was not letting me stay in my place and the girl behind me was asking if I could move LEFT so she could go in next to her friend, and of course I didn’t actually understand her to much coz it was so loud and she had a strong accent. So she had her arm round the girl in front’s neck and was doing everything possible to not let me enjoy it of see. I was so close to punching them both in the cheek. D: but I stuck it out and did my best to enjoy it. After Cockroach I’d had enough of being pushed about so much I just turned around and tried to get to the back, and luckily Rachael was near and I collapsed onto her, absolutely drenched in sweat and shaking like crazy, she took me to the bar and got me some water and I stayed at the back, with her, feeling so dreadful, but after a few cups of water I felt better and started waving my arms around and such, and singing! Just watching and having space, also, I managed to get a few pictures.
All the way throughout the concert Reita was getting SO low to the ground with his bass, legs bent so his knees almost touched the floor, and he was just being his uber cool “macho” self! <3 Aoi did some seriously sexy spins with his guitar and kept leaning backwards like he does and playing. Uruha looked a little more reserved, but seemed really happy to be there!! Ruki’s attempts at English were so cute! ^__^v. “YOU READY UK?” followed by screams of “YEAAAAAAAAAAH!!!!” and “YOU CRAZY LONDON” he had such a strong accent, so It was quite hard to get what he was saying. >< but he did talk in Japanese, pretty much what he yells at audiences usually <3
They went off stage and everyone was yelling for encore, a little pathetic as it kept stopping and starting. Some of the random technical guys came out and started fiddling around with stuff. Then, Kai and Reita came out. And it was obviously time for Ride with the Rockers. which was fantastic. Reita’s voice is so sexy. He was wearing a bandana and had the manly of manly t-shirts on - the pink version of the t-shirt! :3 I giggled to myself! And had his arm slung over the mic stand and was doing what they usually do. His pronunciation of “one, two, three” was adorable, it was like “shree, two onee” ^O^. he said “YOU CRAZY” followed by various enthusiastic replies and he chuckled and was like “me to”. <3 and did the “OI OI OI OI OI” with “OI OI OI OI OI” in reply for a good few minutes! Just amazing atmosphere! The rest of the band came out and they started bouncing around and playing and I THINK Ruki licked Uruha’s guitar, and he licked it himself, so I’m told! They all went round the stage and were interacting with the audience so much, Aoi pulled his top up, which he did slightly near the beginning and he was always making these really sexy faces, winking and licking his lips. being the whore that he is! which no doubt killed Juliet! XD They all got there hands so close to the audience and Uruha held the hands of a couple of fans at one point, which was cute! I saw him on the right side of the stage lifting up his arms and grin and look so happy. The others kept doing that, although I didn’t see it for as long as Uruha did! Ruki drank lots of water from bottles and sprayed it all over the audience. My god that man can spit. Not only water but spit as well.
Next was Cassis. Which was so beautiful. I wanted to cry so badly; I felt my eyes watering like mad, and I sung along. Everyone was swaying and just hearing this was really perfect. I’m ever so happy they played it. ♥. I can’t really say any more on it, except the video I watched of it today [Monday] made me cry.
The next most memorable song was Linda ~Candydive Pinky heaven~. Which I love more and more each time I hear it; Ruki was like “last song” which made my heart pang coz I didn’t want it to end. I wanted it to last forever. They all danced around and Ruki was pretend wanking his water bottles, spraying water over the audience by pretend ejaculation. 8D he threw so much into the audience, loads of bottles, and straws, I’m not sure what Aoi and Uruha threw in other than picks. Kai threw several bottles, one of which reached the balcony and one got stuck on these lighting things coz he didn’t throw high enough! :3 he grinned and goggled at that. He even threw his towel to some lucky person near the front. I think Reita might have been the first to go offstage, Kai being the last; he also snapped his drumsticks and threw them in, evidently looking out for more fans! ^___^ I cant even count the amount of bottles that got thrown into the audience!
But we sang happy birthday to Kai twice I think. They looked a little shocked and Ruki gave the mic to Kai and he said “Thank you so much” and giggled, and waved the mic over his drum set trying to get Reita or Ruki to take it from him! I saw at one point when they had a pause from songs Aoi and Reita talk and Reita grin at him! But seriously, Reita has the most adorable grin ever. He flipped everyone off so many times and stood up near Kai’s drum set doing strange hand movements against his head that were really cute! Ruki thanked us for the night loudly. And suddenly, it was all over, almost as quickly as it began. ;~;
I got told that apparently Ruki had wanted to give us a second encore, but due to the carling academy’s shitty club night next, all the excitements had to cease by ten. D: however I’m sure no one would have complained about a second encore. ;] This just makes it feel more certain that they’ll return sometime in hopefully the near future. Of course I will not turn down the chance to go again. *Nods*
I headed out with Rachael and met Becky and Juliet who’d got one of Ruki’s wanking bottles with water in <3 Becky was nice enough to give me a bit of his water and let me drink some to ♥ and Rave caught Reita’s pick. Which I am going to be forever jealous of her for! >D
We stood around outside for a bit, waiting for people to get bags and stuff, where I was really shaky and feeling disorientated. Me Rachael and Juliet went on a bit of a vain hunt for a toilet. Which took a very long time and we ended up in a nasty McDonalds. D: there was a mat of hair by the sing o_O;; *shudder* anyways, we got out of there and I realised I hadn’t got my D’espairsRay t-shirt. Rachael had given it to me, but unfortunately I was way to out of it to know. However, I got very hysterical and her and me went on a hunt for it, no such luck. Sometime around then, Rachael and Becky had to go, they had to get on the tube before they shut. But anyways, a couple of girls who were co incidentally in the same hotel as Juliet and me very nicely went round asking if anyone had seen it. We waited around and someone told us that they’d gone. But I kind of got dragged off by Juliet and didn’t get to stay to see them go. T__T;; *sighs* oh well. They’re sneaky bastards anyways! 8D
After gig & Sunday:
We went back to the hotel, Juliet’s paid for some chips and a kebab thing for each of us which was really nice and we ate that in our room after giving Dan his crap that’d been left in there from earlier [He was staying with Rowan] but I got into bed knackered and really really miserable ;~; not at all happy to have to wake up the next morning, where I limped downstairs to breakfast where I ate two sausages because I pulled a damn muscle in the back of my leg in the concert. I look like a twat walking at the moment. but yadda yadda yadda, we got the tube to Camden, after leaving the hotel, me lumping my fucking suitcase behind me, getting rather mad at it. we got a taxi to Angel station. We wandered around a bit, me getting rather annoyed at my suitcase - heavy and lots of people = NOT GOOD. D:. Anyways, we went to Sai Sai’s and talked to the guy in there Zhi I believe his name is! :3 I found this really nice coat in there for £45 so I headed off to get some cash down at the other end of town, because all the other ones were out of cash. Dan, Rowan and her friend who I cant spell the name of spotted me, and I started to head back to Sai Sai’s when I got a frantic phone call from Juliet telling me that Gazette had been spotted walking around Camden market. *___*. I was walking rather fast, trying to get back to Juliet, I was idly scanning the street for any signs of Gazette, and low and behold I’m walking across Camden bridge and I see Reita and Ruki walking across in the opposite direction. I sort of panicked and stared at them and grabbed my phone and called Juliet. Unfortunately I lost them, and didn’t get a chance to go up to them, apart from the fact I was to fucking scared, but I guess they didn’t go straight down the high street coz Dan, Rowan and the other girl [SORRY I SUCK AT NAMES!] would have bumped into them. I think they went down the side way in the direction of a sushi bar and Starbucks. But they looked so adorable and dressed in normal clothing<3, Reita’s hair was all flat and he had one of those masks on, and Ruki had one round his neck and great big brown pimpy glasses! 8D But actually just seeing them like that was good enough for me at the time, it cheered me up from my rather depressed mood and I was all fluttery and content even though we couldn’t find them again, even after dumping our stuff in Sai Sai, Zhi let us leave so much stuff in there <3 he is a truly awesome man! We walked around in the wet, trying to find them, with no such luck. We met with Rave and her bunch of people and Mia, and had a look together, but still no luck. We headed back to the stables where Sai Sai is located and stood around, told Zhi what we saw and he looked really happy! :33. We only had a bit of a look round the stables, and got some food before we had to head back towards the tube station to get back to Paddington for our five o’clock train home.
We got back to the station without to many mishaps I fell asleep on the tube for five minutes, until I was poked awake. Juliet called me selfless for going to get her when I saw Reita and Ruki. Which I guess was true. :3 but we got on the train and talked about the concert, trying not to creep out the people sat around us and eating random bits of stuff I had left in my bag! And when we got off the train in Exeter St David’s, it seemed very ended. It was sad that it ended. But me and Dan got a life back to our accommodation from Juliet’s parents which was awesome, coz I really didn’t fancy walking up that hill with that bleeding thing. It’s given my a little blister on my hand now D:

The security left open the toilets open the venue especially for us, even though the police wanted them closed. Have a guess at the reason? Well, I’ll tell you, There’s a gay bar around the corner somewhere and after they’re kicked out, guess what happens if they don’t shut the toilets? XDDD *coughs*. I met Mia who randomly came up to see what the queue was like and sat down and we talked a bit, she had a LOT of drink with her, and I stole some~<3 we sat there talking, I buggered off when Becky called me, she was going to come up and camp with us, but she didn’t in the end. :/ I found Mia again afterwards; apparently she had gone to go get more alcohol! XD Dan spent a lot of the evening taking pictures of people and the queue, finally having the camera taken off him by Farrah, who went round taking more photos! XD Rave drew the katakana for Gazette on both my arms in permanent marker. Which won’t come off. not that I actually want it to come off, but that’s not the point! I also somehow gave Rowan the nickname of “Normal Norman”! XDDDDD
Next thing, its about 1.30-3am and its when all the drunken morons are being kicked out of pubs, bars and clubs onto the street to cause more havoc. Just being rude and generally disruptive. Finally Rowan had enough and went to get the security to tell them to politely fuck the hell off and leave us alone. :3 not before they started being physical - they took those who were sleeping on the corner’s hats off and took their things and stuffed camera in their faces. D: that’s London for you! And I heard from Rowan who didn’t sleep at all that night, that there wasn’t a single time where everyone was asleep, sadly. I like talked to Andrea randomly until I actually managed to fall asleep. Oh yeah! Andii was like “who wants hot dogs!” at like three am and I said I’d share one! And she let me have half free of charge! Which was really nice, thank yoooou <333
Saturday 27th:
I got a wake up glomp from Juliet who came running up to me, still caterpillar-ed up in my sleeping bag at about six am. Which to say was VERY warm indeed, only problem was the hard uncomfortable concrete floor that was there. Next time I’m taking something to pad it out a little. >_>;; possibly the most effective alarm clock I’ve had yet actually! :DDD I managed to get myself about three hours sleep. >3 At about seven-ish, a few people went off to McDonalds (Classy eh?) to get hot chocolates and coffees. Rowan dipped someone’s hash brown in her hot chocolate, and I tried some, and for some un explained reason, it was actually nice, however she dropped a rather unhealthy sized lump into the cup and it smelt rather funny and had grease rising to the top o___o;; Some guy, who I’m not entirely sure of who he was, found a big cut out of this mouse from Ratatouille and stuck it Andrea’s face for her to wake up to, then stuck it in Dan’s! Which I think scared him! >3 *snorts* Someone suggested waving it around in the concert, but unfortunately the rat met its end before that could happen, it was ripped to pieces and well, that was the end of that! XD Some people were running around in cardboard boxes, which was very entertaining to watch, as one of the people in one who was wearing the biggest one was knocked over when another box guy ran at her. XDD :3 Then not much really happened for an hour or so…
Until Gazette’s busses and vans turned up. And seriously; Oh my god. They had two big red busses; one was a double-decker, and the other a normal coach type bus and a huge lorry type thing with a gigantic sticker of them in their stacked rubbish costumes. We watched as it manoeuvred. I took lots of photos of it, some of which came out kind of retarded and dark, but you can still see what it is! And lots of people drew on it with their fingers through the dirt, I got my hand batted away a bit by some dude but I don’t know who he was, something to do with Gazette though! XD but we went and stood near the double-decker bus for sometime, obviously waiting for them to come out, even though it was inevitable they weren’t going to come out yet! And Juliet clung to my arm, and me to hers! But we got told to go back to the line a few minutes later because they were sleeping. >3< (the back of my mind was going, well Duh, they’ve just come all the way from France for fucks sake, they’re going to be asleep aren’t they!? *face palm* and the front of my brain was like “awww, that’s so cute, sleeping Gazette, I bet they’re all snuggled up or something equally cute >3<”)
Juliet and me went back to sit in the queue and warm up a little, and talk about it. A little while later one of Rave’s friends, who stole my speaker cube for the day [and who was quite cool! ^_^] was walking round and telling us that their busses got a parking ticket. A fucking parking ticket dude. Like what the fuck!!!!! We stood and watched the guy write the tickets and I think it was Andii and the girl in the cat kimiguru got us to point at him and go “LOL” several times! 8D I have a photo of the guy walking around. But omg, it was so fucking funny.
Yet again, we went back to the queue and sat around eating a little chatting and such. Rachael wandered up the queue and found me after they arrived at about ten-ish and I hugged her I went and talked to them where they were and Becky went off to get credit, and I went back to go and find Dan and we headed off to mine and Juliet’s hotel to get changed around eleven-ish, I took a far shorter time to get ready than Dan did, so I just walked back to the venue as there was really no point me waiting an extra hour or two. I found Juliet and said hello~ I didn’t miss anything, just them rearranging the busses! XD or something equally fun! :3 I went to get some food after Juliet had eaten her sandwich, and I ate it then went back to Becky and Rachael. I took Rachael to see the bus, and we wrote, “we love you” on it and I drew some hearts around it and took a picture. :3. She gave me a piggy back, and we ran up and down the line a couple of times like that! and I fell over on the barrier thingy where she was sitting and pushed it backwards, stole Becky’s rice cakes and sat on both of them! 8D Me making very silly noises! >_>;; It was still fun! I got Becky’s ticket off Dan when he got back which was at like one-ish o___o;; and couldn’t find her! They came to find me and I kept pulling the ticket away from them, which was rather amusing as they were on the other side of the barrier *cough* :3 I did give it to her in the end, lol! I went off for a walk with Becky and Rachael and we walked aimlessly round the near vicinity of the Venue and finally walked up the way where the hotel was and Rachael started doing her hair, and I just danced around feeling kind of energetic all things considering. Me and Rachael were just calmly watching the Gazette bus, when who should just casually get out of it, but little Ruki, with some random guy. He had these big brown pimpy glasses on, one of those face masks the Japanese wear when they’re ill and this great big gold-ish man bag! And watched him go in the side door, then a few moments later, the guy come out and shut the bus door, because he forgot to! I did a flip inside when I saw him go into the venue; it made it feel that little bit more real. After a bit, what I recognise as their manager, came out and crouched down outside double doors for a fag! 8D Rachael and me giggled madly and hugged each other! >3< Poor Becky missed it, she only saw the random guy! Buwhahaha! Awww!! He was so cute! *Squeals*. I bounced over to the line and told Juliet and those near me and they were like “*___*” *giggles* that bit just made me so happy! <3 He looked so cute and he walked really fast to the hall, I think he might have thought he’d get molestedmobbed or something if some people noticed!
The rest of the afternoon passed and I skipped from parts of the queue almost constantly, I was really on edge and happy and couldn’t sit still for long plus moving kept me warm! :3 but about three-ish I wanted to see how long the queue was and I walked with Rachael and Becky to the end and spotted Mia again, sitting on the floor with some apple alcohol stuff and four pints of cider. :D *lol* but I headed back to the front, and a think I walked around with Rachael and Becky a bit more, and went into the bathroom, getting nervous = needing toilet muchos! XD Rachael tried putting fake eyelashes on Becky, which was funny to watch. And there was a LOT of noise coming from outside the toilets, which was actually a bunch of people dancing and singing various songs, namely some Dir en grey and Gazette! It was just outside the lifts, so anyone trying to go in or out would have been fucked. Or just scared rigid!
But yeah, they were letting us in at six instead of seven <3 so we were all bustling around trying to get in line at about half four, picking up our crap and moving it way up and trying to cram as much as we could into on bag. Fucking rip off cloakroom, £2 an item. D: but oh well! We stood like that, counting down the time for like an hour! Talking nervously and getting cookie stuffed into my face by Rachael! XD and about 10 minutes before we were let in, the guy who bought the spare ticket from me turned up, and I handed it to him and was like “phew” finally. Soon enough they were moving the queue jumpers to the back. Which I was pretty happy about. :3 Luckily no one pointed to Rachael or Becky coz I let them, in just before things really started happening. They slowly started letting us in just after six, and I frantically ran up the stairs after Juliet, and got told to stop running by some guy! I was seriously on edge and not quite sure what was happening. We were kind of squashed and people kept pushing from the right and behind and nothing was happening. We were kind of sideways and getting hotter and more nervous as the moments went on. I took a picture of the stage, just as Andii was yelling “no flash” XDDD *cough*. But I put my camera back in my pocket and was standing there frantically texting Jenny and Danie. :33
The actual gig:
A few technicians came out and started tuning the instruments, and when they picked up Reita’s bass, I nearly cried right there. It was just like woah. I wasn’t quite aware of it until he started playing it. And when they had Aoi’s acoustic. I was just like “*___*, this isn’t real .___.;;” Someone brought out water bottles, with straws in, and I giggled, it was to cute~<3 so I just had to take a picture of that. I saw some guy putting silver tape around the edge of Ruki’s box thingy. Some chants of “GA-ZE-TO” and “GazeROCK is not dead”. (For some reason I thought they were saying GazeRock is ok” o__O) A few moments later a woman from CLJ records came out and was like “Who’re you gonna see?!?” and got a loud scream in reply of “GAZETTOOOOOOO!!!”, she asked us not to take pictures or throw stuff on the stage. The “who’re you going to see?” was repeated a couple of times. Trying to hype us up. Not like we actually needed it!! XD The security people were already passing cups of water around, as everyone was sweating like crazy.
The CLJ record woman person went off stage and Art drawn by vomit started playing and Kai appeared first, then I think Aoi and Reita and Uruha, then Ruki last, who might I just add has a bulging crotch. *___* in those really sexy shiny trousers with this shiny strip down his crotch which made it just that little bit obvious. It felt so freaking surreal. But I heard so many people yelling “Hey Jesus suck my frying pan” I kept thinking, I wonder if Ruki noticed or just thought we were singing it how he sung it. *Snorts* Next it was Agony, which was just amazing. I sung along and bounced and was feeling just generally really fucking happy, however my top kept falling down that’ll teach me to wear a strapless top to a gig >_> I sung to as much of it as I possibly could. All the “Oh shits” and his sexy English. It was mind blowing, and such a great start to a concert. Hyena was next, which sounded so good, and is such a good live song. Really dandy and brilliant to dance to. Next was Filth in the Beauty which sounded perfect. The version on the meaningless art DVD was great, but this one, was perfect, I couldn’t spot any flaws in it. ♥ I think it was sometime bow that Ruki started rubbing his crotch madly whilst standing on his box. And oh yes, it got bigger. *Cough*. Ruki really knows how to turn an audience on. ;D When Burial Applicant began I felt just so.. So… almost nervous, but so happy and just damn emotional. But it’s so amazing live. Just guh.
They had a quick water break thingy and had their backs to us, etc and Ruki came back with this rose in his mouth. And I could just tell it was Ganges ni Akai Bara. He pulled the petal off slowly, dropping them on his box, and tossed the stalk into the audience, lucky person who got that. He was crouched down and picked up the petals and let a few flutter into the audience. That song was never really top now, but it’s moved up a lot, it’s really beautiful, and every time I hear it I know I’ll think of what Ruki was doing.
Sugar Pain. Ruki was well apparently horny as fuck. I’ve always loved this song, but he made it seem even sexier. He licked his finger and was trailing it up and down his chest, and ended up rubbing his crotch. hard. Rubbing like crazy *___*. He did some other rather sexy stuff, spat on stage.
Next they did a couple of “calmer” songs, which were nice to hear after the loud head banging style ones from before. They were just so beautiful - Calm Envy and Gentle Lie
I was SO glad they played Taion he was leaning over his box, and started singing without any of the others and without the mic. I couldn’t believe how powerful his voice was. It was breathtaking. Except for the stupid fan that yelled and he paused and waited for them to shut up before continuing that bit before the real start of the song. That was just rude. But wow. It’s a really beautiful song. I know I’ve said this before. But everyone was swaying and head banging at the right moments. And Ruki was doing his almost “possessed body” impression on stage. And of course, Chizuru followed which was so real. I absolutely love that song. Those two fit so well together and have so much emotion packed into those few minutes. ♥
The next few songs were a slight blur for me as I was feeling incredibly claustrophobic, squashed, overheated and had these two bitchy girls next to me, one of which was not letting me stay in my place and the girl behind me was asking if I could move LEFT so she could go in next to her friend, and of course I didn’t actually understand her to much coz it was so loud and she had a strong accent. So she had her arm round the girl in front’s neck and was doing everything possible to not let me enjoy it of see. I was so close to punching them both in the cheek. D: but I stuck it out and did my best to enjoy it. After Cockroach I’d had enough of being pushed about so much I just turned around and tried to get to the back, and luckily Rachael was near and I collapsed onto her, absolutely drenched in sweat and shaking like crazy, she took me to the bar and got me some water and I stayed at the back, with her, feeling so dreadful, but after a few cups of water I felt better and started waving my arms around and such, and singing! Just watching and having space, also, I managed to get a few pictures.
All the way throughout the concert Reita was getting SO low to the ground with his bass, legs bent so his knees almost touched the floor, and he was just being his uber cool “macho” self! <3 Aoi did some seriously sexy spins with his guitar and kept leaning backwards like he does and playing. Uruha looked a little more reserved, but seemed really happy to be there!! Ruki’s attempts at English were so cute! ^__^v. “YOU READY UK?” followed by screams of “YEAAAAAAAAAAH!!!!” and “YOU CRAZY LONDON” he had such a strong accent, so It was quite hard to get what he was saying. >< but he did talk in Japanese, pretty much what he yells at audiences usually <3
They went off stage and everyone was yelling for encore, a little pathetic as it kept stopping and starting. Some of the random technical guys came out and started fiddling around with stuff. Then, Kai and Reita came out. And it was obviously time for Ride with the Rockers. which was fantastic. Reita’s voice is so sexy. He was wearing a bandana and had the manly of manly t-shirts on - the pink version of the t-shirt! :3 I giggled to myself! And had his arm slung over the mic stand and was doing what they usually do. His pronunciation of “one, two, three” was adorable, it was like “shree, two onee” ^O^. he said “YOU CRAZY” followed by various enthusiastic replies and he chuckled and was like “me to”. <3 and did the “OI OI OI OI OI” with “OI OI OI OI OI” in reply for a good few minutes! Just amazing atmosphere! The rest of the band came out and they started bouncing around and playing and I THINK Ruki licked Uruha’s guitar, and he licked it himself, so I’m told! They all went round the stage and were interacting with the audience so much, Aoi pulled his top up, which he did slightly near the beginning and he was always making these really sexy faces, winking and licking his lips. being the whore that he is! which no doubt killed Juliet! XD They all got there hands so close to the audience and Uruha held the hands of a couple of fans at one point, which was cute! I saw him on the right side of the stage lifting up his arms and grin and look so happy. The others kept doing that, although I didn’t see it for as long as Uruha did! Ruki drank lots of water from bottles and sprayed it all over the audience. My god that man can spit. Not only water but spit as well.
Next was Cassis. Which was so beautiful. I wanted to cry so badly; I felt my eyes watering like mad, and I sung along. Everyone was swaying and just hearing this was really perfect. I’m ever so happy they played it. ♥. I can’t really say any more on it, except the video I watched of it today [Monday] made me cry.
The next most memorable song was Linda ~Candydive Pinky heaven~. Which I love more and more each time I hear it; Ruki was like “last song” which made my heart pang coz I didn’t want it to end. I wanted it to last forever. They all danced around and Ruki was pretend wanking his water bottles, spraying water over the audience by pretend ejaculation. 8D he threw so much into the audience, loads of bottles, and straws, I’m not sure what Aoi and Uruha threw in other than picks. Kai threw several bottles, one of which reached the balcony and one got stuck on these lighting things coz he didn’t throw high enough! :3 he grinned and goggled at that. He even threw his towel to some lucky person near the front. I think Reita might have been the first to go offstage, Kai being the last; he also snapped his drumsticks and threw them in, evidently looking out for more fans! ^___^ I cant even count the amount of bottles that got thrown into the audience!
But we sang happy birthday to Kai twice I think. They looked a little shocked and Ruki gave the mic to Kai and he said “Thank you so much” and giggled, and waved the mic over his drum set trying to get Reita or Ruki to take it from him! I saw at one point when they had a pause from songs Aoi and Reita talk and Reita grin at him! But seriously, Reita has the most adorable grin ever. He flipped everyone off so many times and stood up near Kai’s drum set doing strange hand movements against his head that were really cute! Ruki thanked us for the night loudly. And suddenly, it was all over, almost as quickly as it began. ;~;
I got told that apparently Ruki had wanted to give us a second encore, but due to the carling academy’s shitty club night next, all the excitements had to cease by ten. D: however I’m sure no one would have complained about a second encore. ;] This just makes it feel more certain that they’ll return sometime in hopefully the near future. Of course I will not turn down the chance to go again. *Nods*
I headed out with Rachael and met Becky and Juliet who’d got one of Ruki’s wanking bottles with water in <3 Becky was nice enough to give me a bit of his water and let me drink some to ♥ and Rave caught Reita’s pick. Which I am going to be forever jealous of her for! >D
We stood around outside for a bit, waiting for people to get bags and stuff, where I was really shaky and feeling disorientated. Me Rachael and Juliet went on a bit of a vain hunt for a toilet. Which took a very long time and we ended up in a nasty McDonalds. D: there was a mat of hair by the sing o_O;; *shudder* anyways, we got out of there and I realised I hadn’t got my D’espairsRay t-shirt. Rachael had given it to me, but unfortunately I was way to out of it to know. However, I got very hysterical and her and me went on a hunt for it, no such luck. Sometime around then, Rachael and Becky had to go, they had to get on the tube before they shut. But anyways, a couple of girls who were co incidentally in the same hotel as Juliet and me very nicely went round asking if anyone had seen it. We waited around and someone told us that they’d gone. But I kind of got dragged off by Juliet and didn’t get to stay to see them go. T__T;; *sighs* oh well. They’re sneaky bastards anyways! 8D
After gig & Sunday:
We went back to the hotel, Juliet’s paid for some chips and a kebab thing for each of us which was really nice and we ate that in our room after giving Dan his crap that’d been left in there from earlier [He was staying with Rowan] but I got into bed knackered and really really miserable ;~; not at all happy to have to wake up the next morning, where I limped downstairs to breakfast where I ate two sausages because I pulled a damn muscle in the back of my leg in the concert. I look like a twat walking at the moment. but yadda yadda yadda, we got the tube to Camden, after leaving the hotel, me lumping my fucking suitcase behind me, getting rather mad at it. we got a taxi to Angel station. We wandered around a bit, me getting rather annoyed at my suitcase - heavy and lots of people = NOT GOOD. D:. Anyways, we went to Sai Sai’s and talked to the guy in there Zhi I believe his name is! :3 I found this really nice coat in there for £45 so I headed off to get some cash down at the other end of town, because all the other ones were out of cash. Dan, Rowan and her friend who I cant spell the name of spotted me, and I started to head back to Sai Sai’s when I got a frantic phone call from Juliet telling me that Gazette had been spotted walking around Camden market. *___*. I was walking rather fast, trying to get back to Juliet, I was idly scanning the street for any signs of Gazette, and low and behold I’m walking across Camden bridge and I see Reita and Ruki walking across in the opposite direction. I sort of panicked and stared at them and grabbed my phone and called Juliet. Unfortunately I lost them, and didn’t get a chance to go up to them, apart from the fact I was to fucking scared, but I guess they didn’t go straight down the high street coz Dan, Rowan and the other girl [SORRY I SUCK AT NAMES!] would have bumped into them. I think they went down the side way in the direction of a sushi bar and Starbucks. But they looked so adorable and dressed in normal clothing<3, Reita’s hair was all flat and he had one of those masks on, and Ruki had one round his neck and great big brown pimpy glasses! 8D But actually just seeing them like that was good enough for me at the time, it cheered me up from my rather depressed mood and I was all fluttery and content even though we couldn’t find them again, even after dumping our stuff in Sai Sai, Zhi let us leave so much stuff in there <3 he is a truly awesome man! We walked around in the wet, trying to find them, with no such luck. We met with Rave and her bunch of people and Mia, and had a look together, but still no luck. We headed back to the stables where Sai Sai is located and stood around, told Zhi what we saw and he looked really happy! :33. We only had a bit of a look round the stables, and got some food before we had to head back towards the tube station to get back to Paddington for our five o’clock train home.
We got back to the station without to many mishaps I fell asleep on the tube for five minutes, until I was poked awake. Juliet called me selfless for going to get her when I saw Reita and Ruki. Which I guess was true. :3 but we got on the train and talked about the concert, trying not to creep out the people sat around us and eating random bits of stuff I had left in my bag! And when we got off the train in Exeter St David’s, it seemed very ended. It was sad that it ended. But me and Dan got a life back to our accommodation from Juliet’s parents which was awesome, coz I really didn’t fancy walking up that hill with that bleeding thing. It’s given my a little blister on my hand now D:
