New layout. Still a work in progress but I love it! And check-out my rollovers! Hover over the smaller circles at the top and over the comment links! Boo-Yah.
Oh no. Mystery Meat Navigation. The design looks great, but that navigation system violates Web Usability 101. You should do something like have the text really really small, and then get bigger when the user mouses over them. Atleast then when people look at your page, they'll know that there's navigation there, and not pretty background dots.
You may also want to look into preloading your rollover images: some info on it.
The only thing about the preloaded images script is that it won't work in livejournal coding. At least not with a free account which is what I have. :)
But, I will take into consideration about the navigation. Thanks. :)
Really? Ah, you used CSS hovers to do the image swapping. Ok, makes sense now. :) And it's all a judgement call with your navigation. Mystery Meat Navigation looks good, but hiding your navigation rarely makes the user experience better. Particularly for someone who comes to your page for the first time, and has no idea how to get to other areas of your site/LJ. But then again, if it's not important that visitors find your friends page or userinfo, then it may be a trade-off you're willing to make.
