Health Update 6-6-08

It just keeps going.  Last Wednesday I had a spinal tap to determine if one of my medications was affecting my sight.  However, ever since the spinal tap I have been having pains in my lower back.  They are sharp pains, very similar to the pains I encountered during the spinal tap.  Today I was supposed to have another spinal tap w/ x-rays, but

Sorry you're having so many problems! I know spinal taps REALLY suck and I hope you can get everything figured out. I ALSO know that spinal taps can affect really strange things that don't seem to have any relation TO the spinal tap. My 2nd husband's stepfather got these REALLY bad headaches - like they were so bad that my ex mother-in-law would have to hide the fire-arms to keep him from putting a bullet in his head just to stop the pain (I'm not kidding here). Dennis ALSO had diabetes and a couple other things going on and one day - for a completely unrelated matter - he had to get a spinal tap. IMMEDIATELY he stopped getting the headaches. When he told his doctors about this, they hypothesized that the headaches had been a result of too much spinal fluid backed up into the brain or something like that ... *shrug*

but I'm rambling. I tend to do that. I sure hope you feel better soon!
