He usually never ran into anybody but today Travis wasn't alone. He walked towards the figure hoping he wasn't running into a drunken slacker in need of help. That would be just his luck.
"Hello?" he responded. Hardly an answer to the question.

Not that she really knew anyone aside from the Quidditch team.
"It's it--" Jamie reached up to tighten her ever-present high ponytail, "--a little early to be out?"

He suddenly realized the way this could look. There was nobody else around and no reason for either of them to be out at this time. Before getting too close, Travis stopped. They were a few meters away from each other.
"I'm Travis," he offered.

She glanced over her shoulder, blond hair licking the back of her neck as she did. They were alone, not even the sound of crickets to keep them company. A different girl of the same small stature might've felt the fear building in her chest, but not Jamie.
She knew she could take him.
"So do you always wander aimlessly when you're up?"
