She was excited, because Hermione had finally given her Hogwarts: A History - her most prized possession - and Rose never thought she'd get it.
Teddy knew it was important to Rose, but he didn't quite understand it. She was going on about the cover and the pages and, Merlin, the smell of all things. Teddy couldn't have picked a more ridiculous thing to talk about. But he couldn't stop staring at the way her face lit up.
The conversation ended when he pulled her close and kissed her, their very first time.
After that, Rose's face lit up for different reasons.
