This letter is in response to Mr. and Mrs. Schowengerdt, an Iowa couple who made the choice to spread ignorance, in spite of the loss of their son to AIDS. Please read their editorial and see the video interview.

You know, I doubt that, no matter how long I live, I will ever understand how who someone sleeps with is reason/excuse to bash, bully, revile or murder them. How can who anyone sleeps with be so important to other people?

Great letter, Jamie, and I would love to think it would make these people open their minds, but I fear that won't happen. Good on you, though, for taking the time and effort to write the letter and let's hope that one day these people and those like them will realise the truth of what you've written.
