I noticed! I've been wondering where you've been at. Sorry to hear that rl is stressful - I hope things will calm down soon! ♥
Man on a Ledge won't be released in theatres here until June, boo! By then the DVD will probably be out everywhere else :/
I really liked Jamie as St.John. He is a very interesting and surprising choice for the part, but I think he managed to do something different with the character and I really liked that. Totally agree that Jane was less strong than I would have wanted her to be. She just seemed so... bland.
Thank you lovely, I feel like I've been away for years! How are you? I'm sure things will calm down, just need to stop and take a breath.
June is a million years away, that's not fair! It actually looks really good, nice to see him doing something actiony now he's more buff :)
I did like what he did with the character but it seemed so at odds with the book. I probably would have enjoyed the film more if I imagined it as a film on its own rather than a film version of the book, do you know what I mean? I think I got too caught up comparing it with the book version. She was totally bland! She seemed to have much more fire in the book
Heh I have not been online as much as I used to either. RL has been busy at times and in the last week or so I seem to suddenly have developed a social life. I am sure it will pass ;)
I knowww. The trailer looked awesome and I am really excited!
Oh I absolutely see what you mean. But idk I quite liked that they did something different with the character in the movie as compared to the novel. The novel is so tied to Jane's perspective and I guess the movie got me thinking that maybe St.John was not quite as cold and strict as he appeared in the novel mediated through Jane's eyes. It was an interesting take for sure, but yeah definitely different than the novel's take on him. I really missed Jane's fire! She almost seemed a little subdued in some scenes in the movie and I did not like that.
:( I hope things will be less stressful for you now, hon ♥ Oh man, I haven't been to a proper football match for years, but they are SO much fun. Yeah, the swearing is amazing for its sheer inventiveness *g*
That Dawn of the Dead thing sounds absolutely amazing! Heh. Maybe you could persuade everyone at the wedding to go along there after the dinner, when they're all pissed and easily manipulated ;D ZOMBIE WEDDING. HOW AWESOME WOULD THAT BE?
I'M GLAD, I'VE MISSED BEING HERE! I've noticed a sneaky update from you missy, I'm so excited to catch up but I need wine and quiet time :)
Haha, the swearing certainly was inventive and I learnt some songs that cannot be repeated! They won on penalties so now husband thinks I am a lucky charm and wants to drag me to all the games... what have I done?!
I KNOW!!! She could be a zombie bride, it would be bloody fantastic! I'll drop it into conversation but I'm not confident she'll go for it :D
I have been missing your sunshine round here, bb ;)
*big hugs for the stressy* I used to smoke too, and am finding it hard not to give it another go with all the real life going on here too. Hope everything sorts itself out for you asap, and I love the Zombie wedding. Love anything zombie, me :D
WEEEEE YOU'RE BACK!!!! OMG I'VE MISSED CHATTING TO YOU ABOUT FILMS AND WHAT HAVE YOU. Also, i've had my own lj withdrawal lately, RL issues blah blah, I won't bore anybody with details either.
OOOh i've always wanted to go to a football match but I'm so short I always feel overwhelmed in crowds.
OMG ZOMBIES I LOVE ZOMBIES, IS IT ME OR THIS BLOODY WEDDING SUCH A COCKBLOCK.
Ryan Gosling was really good in that film Half Nelson, seen it?
I'VE MISSED YOU TOO!!! I am still impatient to receive your films to see before I'm too old to care list. I'm sad ure having RL issues, I am all the way here for you if you require
It said on my ticket that persistent standing would be punished (weird) but everyone stood up anyway. It was good but it was a crowd of smelly men and I am pretty much armpit height... gross!
BAHAHAHAHA THIS IS PRECISELY WHY I ADORE YOU... COCKBLOCK!! My dear you are not wrong. At least it's meant to be sunny tomorrow for the wedding, hopefully I won't melt/spontaneously combust in church. I've not been to a church wedding before, religion isn't really for me so I feel a bit uncomfortable about all the praying and stuff
::HUGS YOU:: OMG the list, that i keep revising only to become bigger once i notice an actor and become temporarily obsessed with watcihg all their work IT'S NO BAROMETER OF QUALITY GIRL!
ARMPIT HEIGHT OY
lol praying and stuff, I've always wnated to go to a Church wedding, like those middle class affairs they do in all the Brit rom coms, it's fascinating. OUCH YESTERDAY WAS FLIPPING BOILING, my sympathies.
Maybe the list can be broken down into smaller lists... I am such a list slut! I am the same with actors, once they are discovered they must be thoroughly researched :)
Flipping boiling indeed! Although husband said I was not allowed to complain in my pretty summer dress as he had to wear a full suit. Sadly it was a methodist church, not quite the same as a grand old four weddings and a funeral plus an organ type church like the flicks. Ah well, is done now, hymns were sung, vows were exchanged, the macarena was danced to (I may never be the same!)
