Oh I am disappointed to hear that Haywire was bad - I have been looking forward to it forever because of the cast, the director and the MMA-style fighting.
For some reason I feel like I shouldn't watch the American version of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo until I have seen the Swedish one, but idk if I'll ever get around to it.
Don't listen to me, it's got crazy good reviews so I think it's just me that didn't enjoy it for some reason. Let me know what you think when you watch it, I literally cannot find a bad review of it online. Maybe I didn't like it because there wasn't enough Channing for me :)
I did want to watch the swedish one first but didn't get round to it either. Would be interesting to see how it compares
Nah, I don't think you are the only one! Out of all the people on my flist who have seen it, only one person genuinely enjoyed the movie, and I have seen quite a lot of negative "mini-reviews" on twitter as well. I haven't read a lot of proper reviews of it though, so maybe I will end up agreeing more with the critics than at least parts of fandom lol. Either way I won't get to see it for a couple of months, when everyone else has moved on to other things already as it won't come out here until March, I think.
Oh dear about Haywire, but at least the fighting is good?
LOVED Salt but a lot of that is cuz I stan for Anjelina.
Would be interesting to see the Swedish version. I saw the Swedish original of Let the Right One in, very different way of doing the whole vampire thing. I also liked the the boy's characterisatio,n I could totally relate to the awkwardness.
Yep, can't argue with the fight scenes but thet were sometimes unnecessary. Why chase someone down on the beach and have a ten minute kick-a-thon when you both have guns?
Thank God, someone else who loved Salt as much as me! She is crazy fierce in that film
I should see Let the Right One In, I saw the American one at the pictures and it was really good and kind of sad. I know what you mean about the boy, it was so sweetly done and such a contrast to the darkness of the film. Haha, we are definitely film twins! I want to spend a whole weekend watching fims with you :)
Lol cuz it's funny to watch people slapping each other around on sand. I mean I struggle walking on anything that isn't solid ground, case in point: today's snow and ice. HOW DO PPL DO IT?
