Since two of my LJ friends did this, I figured I would be a sheep and follow.

2004: The Year in a Brief Review

1. What did you do in 2004 that you'd never done before?
Lots of things. Yeah. Met people, went to Gay Day. Lots of good stuff.

2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I didn't make any resolutions. I think the concept is crap...but if that's what works for you, ::shrugs::

3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
No, though I did find out that this girl I went to HS with had a baby. She was in a lot of my classes and well, it was weird. On a related note, Anthony and I were discussing children because of my job, and I mentioned that I could have a couple of kids by now. And we both freaked out at the thought.

4. Did anyone close to you die?
No. I have never had anyone close to me die. Though so close family members have died, I didn't consider myself close to them.

5. What countries did you visit?
I don't think I even went north of Orlando this year. Blah.

6. What would you like to have in 2005 that you lacked in 2004?
My bachelor's.

7. What date from 2004 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
November 2nd. Yeah, it sucked for me.

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Surviving school, work and my family, as always.

9. What was your biggest failure?
The Roberto incident. I was naive in a way I absolutely dispise.

10.Did you suffer illness or injury?
Sprained a ligament in my foot. Had the stomache flu and a bunch of ear infections. Blah. I always have some sort of cold.

11. What was the best thing you bought?
Hmmm...nothing stands out.

12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
Layla, for keeping me sane from certain people. Alicia, for becoming less mothering. Anthony, for making a hard decision which took him away from all of us because it was the best for him. Edward, for keeping me rational and insanely busy. ETC, ETC

13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
The evil trinity and the fuckhead.

14. Where did most of your money go?
gas/groceries/other necessities

15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
The election. Um, Anthony's visits.

16. What song will always remind you of 2004?
You actually expect me to be able to associate a song with a year? I usually only associate them with periods in my life...

17. Compared to this time last year, are you: happier or sadder?
Happier.

18. What do you wish you'd done more of?
Participating in different events. Volunteering. Studying. Working on my novel.

19. What do you wish you'd done less of?
Bitching. Random internet time.

20. How will you be spending Christmas?
Parents and grandparents at our house. Nothing special.

21. How will you be spending New Years?
Either with Anthony or with the family. One or the other.

22. Did you fall in love in 2004?
::falls on the floor laughing:: How you met the men in my life? Hell no!

One missed opportunity...damn you, Anthony!

31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
I was icky feeling but had lunch with Layla for my 20th. And partied the next day with Ale and her family. Good times.

32. What one thing that would have made your year?
Different election outcome.

33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2004?
Um...schizo.

34. What kept you sane?
My addictions. ;)

35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
LMAO! Fancy? What do you mean by that? Just because I would have Ian Thorpe's baby does that mean I fancy him? Just kidding..I don't think that I would even have his baby. ::shudder:: (Pia: Take note, I did not mention The Grant.)

It would take a year...

When defeated, one must fight harder next time.

40. Quote a song lyric that sums up your year.
LOL. I dunno. Some politically charged song...oh, the jib jab song will work.
