Wow, thank you so much. :D I'm glad you liked the little note at the end -- I'm not usually a fan of letters as plot devices, but I couldn't not put this one in here.
And all your favorite moments! You caught the little nods at history! I'm very, very happy you liked this, thank you so much for your amazing comment!
Awwww! that was sweet, and beautifully written. I see what you mean about letters being plot-devicey but this one definitely worked for me, and it was a really nice nod to show canon.
N'aww, thank you so much. I'm glad Merlin's reaction worked for you.
I have no experience with teaching, but my mom's a teacher, so I draw whatever good teacher/pupil interaction can be found in these ficlets from her stories. I don't think teachers get enough credit for trying (and mostly succeeding) to find a balance between being friendly and interested and strict and objective.
Thanks for your lovely comment, I'm happy you're still enjoying this!
I suspect many children take on their parents' problems and draw the wrong conclusion. And seeing as the entire universe revolves around you when you're small and still discovering this world, how can anything, even a bad thing, not be unrelated to you? ;D
I just love this stories of yours so much!! They are lovely and sweet and deep and just amazing!!! I have to say I find strange to think of Arthur being so much older than the rest but you have made it work!!!
Tons of hugs and I can't wait to read more!! Be well!!! :D
It is strange to think of Arthur as older than the others, especially because that age difference will never go away and there will always be a rift between them. But the more I thought about it, the more the idea appealed to me. Arthur's the children's childhood hero, the one who helps them grow up and in his own special way, he'll influence them for the rest of their lives. By being a good influence now, he'll always be with them in spirit. Yes, that sounds cheesy. But it's true. ;D
(Also, we all know the boys are going to keep coming back, telling him all about their lives and what they're doing now -- and that they named their children after him, etc.)
