I've been saying this for years. 'Bout time it got some mainstream coverage. I'm surprised at how many people who consider themselves conservationalists or even outright environmentalists who buy this crap by the case.

One of the best scams is that most bottled water comes in a weird volume - 12.9 oz. or something like that. Anyways, they make that Crystal Light (aggressively marketed at women, just like the water) so it only mixes correctly with the disposable bottle. Of course, you [i]could[/i] reuse the bottle but it's pretty flimsy...

Unfortunately, Democracy Now! isn't mainstream coverage... but it is coverage and hopefully will be picked up by others in the left-ish media.
