CHAPTER 9
“You don’t have the right to refuse young lady! This is your own doing and we’re just trying to save your reputation” her dad wouldn’t say anything not unless it is necessary he lets her mom do the talking as much as possible. Now that her Dad made the decision no one can bend or change his thought even her mom, adding that the issue is about his only child.
“That’s the point dad! I am responsible with my own actions so let me handle this by myself.” She keeps on arguing though she knows it’s useless.
“Then take responsibility by marrying Kota and no you are not just any girls out there. You’re an INOO and I will never tolerate anyone who will ruin this family name.”
“B-But fath-“
“Stop it Kei, I will not listen to your complaints anymore. Now go to you room and try to grasp what you have done.” It was sign of dismissal when his father turned his back from her.

Back to Kei’s room, she’s still thinking of solutions. Her thoughts were interrupted by a phone call.
“Hi it’s me…….can we meet up tomorrow? Same place, same time” and the line was cut
The next morning Kei walked towards the same café on those familiar seats with bitter sweet memories came rushing through.
“I never thought you’d still come. This is the first time you are late ………back then you’ll be the first one to arrive” He was trying to ease the odd atmosphere building.
“Things change and so do I, now what do you need from me?”
“Actually……I…..I want to give you this personally. This is an invitation for ….. my……en-en- engagement party next Sunday.”
“wow……really wowww…. I’m speechless. You broke up with me on the phone with no particular reason then the next thing I knew you have a new girlfriend and now you have the guts to talk to me personally to attend your engagement party?!”
“I know I made a mistake and I can’t blame you for that but please……forgive me Kei” Yuya never felt this guilty, he himself wondered how can he ruin their relationship despite all the struggles they shared in order for their love to survive.
“You have no idea what I’ve been through when you left me! My life was a living hell, there are times I wanna kill myself to end my suffering while you on the other hand got a new girlfriend. You made me feel like I was the most worthless woman in the world. I wanna scream and curse you to death but no…….you don’t deserve even a single tear. I had enough.” For a long time since the breakup, she never felt this light, like a heavy burden was lift on her shoulders. Without another word, she intently looks at the guy she ever loves this much for the last time.
Unknowingly a car stopped in front of her and arms instantly wrapping her for a warm embrace.
“So comfortable” feeling secured, she’s unable to resist a tighter hug.
“C’mon Kei, this is enough - I’ m here to stay……Remember this….. as long as my heart keeps beating it will only beat for you. You may not figure this out but I honestly and truly love you………C’mon let’s go home now” tongue tied, she nod letting herself to be guided by those strong reassuring arms.
“Yabu……thanks for being there”
“No I should be the one to thank you….Now stop talking and take some rest I’ll be the first one you’ll see in your wake.”
A spark of hope lighten Kota’ s heart, maybe not now but in the future he’ll accomplish in conquering Kei’s heart.
