Chapter 4
“Ne Chii-chan, do you want to hang out with me tonight? Imma kindah bored here, I need to freshen up my mind.” Kei felt so terrible, a part of here is still hoping that Takaki will come back to her despite what she saw yesterday. She can’t accept that he already found someone as a replacement while she on the other hand is still devastated with the outcome of their relationship.
“Gomen ne Kei-chan but I promise my Ryu that I’ll be there to cheer him in their basketball match”
“Oh, it’s okay I can go by myself” she’s heartbroken and now she’s all alone but she can’t blame her best friend for having a boyfriend…..she would sound envious.
“No, for now go home, take a goodnight sleep and by tomorrow if you still wanted to go I’ll accompany you okay?” Chinen is a still a little bit worried to let Kei go alone; her best friend has a tendency to do some stupid things if she’s diverted, especially right now on her condition.
“Don’t worry I’ll be fine and I’ll call you immediately when there’s an emergency situation.”
At the Bar...................
It was her 5th shot of tequila when she felt her head spinning and about to stand from the table. Kei never felt better after the break up, maybe thinking that alcohol helps a lot on erasing the pain making her numb from everything. She read once that alcohol is a depressant that make your system groggy like everything is in slow motion that’s why she’s been itching for bar hopping but unfortunately unlike her Chinen has a caring boyfriend. Remembering that fact stricken the pain so she ordered for another shot though the bartender was a bit hesitant at first.
“Excuse me ma’am, this is your 6th shot.” The bartender knew the gal has some problems and might get her more in trouble if he allowed her to have some more of the intoxicating drink.
“Yes I know, I could count stupid” Where’s the polite Kei? Don’t ask me coz right now our good girl goes badly.
“Wait here for a moment ma’am I’ll call our boss” the bartender walk towards the office and came back with another man.
Kei’s head was spinning so the remedy was to lay her head for support while both arms were over the table.
“Miss wake up, this is not the proper place to sleep you should go home I’ll call a taxi for you” the man shook her for a couple of time before Kei raised to glare at the guy who interrupted her dream.
“Get your hands off me mister and I have my car so back off and live me alone” Wondering why she’s pissed well……he was dreaming of her and Yuya during their happy days.
“I’m sorry miss but we are responsible with our costumers so if you won’t mind give me your address and I can drive you myself”
“Who do you think you are? I barely know you and now you want me to give you my address? You like a criminal to me, men cannot be trusted you just everyone woman’s heart and when you get bored of them you simply throw them like an old fashion toy.” This is the first time somebody told him he looks like a criminal. Most often, they would describe him as a prince with smiling eyes.
“I don’t care if you hate all the men in the world but I care for your safety”
“Yabu-san, do you need some help? I can look at her wallet for information” the bartender interrupted their little quarrel
“No I got this one Kohei, you could back to your station I’ll deal with this little witch”
“No!!! Here’s my payment, I’ll go like you said just don’t bug me anymore get that?!” Kei lost her self-control and now she’s shouting.
“Now you’re shouting at me. C’mon I’ll accompany you to your car” Kota sighed and tried helping her on her feet but with another simple touch he felt electrocuted in small voltage.
“I said no touching didn’t I?! I can walk by myself as a matter of fact I don’t need help!” she stood up and pulled down a little her super short shorts. Yabu noticed how long Keis’ legs and how flawless her skin was. She was also wearing a black colored glittering backless top with 3 inches stiletto.
“Stop ogling at my legs, I know how attractive I am so you don’t have to say a word how you admire my unique beauty.”
“Air headed aren’t you?” Yabu was unable to say anything else coz he himself was lured by her features especially those pouting round lips those candle like hands he badly want to touch and entwined his own fingers with hers.
Kei was about to open her car’s door when Yabu stopped her from opening.
“So where’s my rewards miss?” Yabu thinks he like her and he promised that this wouldn’t be their last meeting.
“I didn’t ask you for any favor mister and if you’re trying to hit on me, sorry to disappoint you but you’re not my type”
“I only want to ask for your name besides a simple thank you is not hard to ask, consider this a your birthday present” He won’t give up not until she give him her name at some point there’s something that tells him that this is not the first time they met
“Birthday? I hate birthdays.” Suddenly everything went black and Kei fell unconsciously to a not so stranger guy.
