Chapter 5
Past………..
“Kei you need to be there, everyone expects of your presence besides you’re the head performer” it was her dance coach at the same time mother and the reason why she’s insisting Kei to perform was because the president of a famous international art school would be there, this is a lifetime opportunity and she doesn’t want Kei to miss it.
“I’m sorry mom but I have an important business to attend to” today was April 24 Takaki’s birthday and she’s planning to spend the day with him.
“Is this about your boyfriend again? Kei your ruining your own future just for him” Kei can sense distaste on her mother’s voice.
“His name is Yuya mom and I’m not ruining my future coz my future is HIM” she loves her boyfriend so much although she knows that this is an opportunity for her career.
“I don’t know you anymore Kei……….. you change a lot after you met him I shouldn’t have allowed your relationship. You deserve a better man.”
“Mom I love you but I love him too. ………I have to go…….Chii needs me today.” Actually it is she who needs Chinen’s help for Yuya’s birthday surprise.
Kei immediately called Chinen to acquire her gift for Yuya. If you’re wondering about Chinen’s family business, they supply the metals for making different kind of jewelries at the same time they run various jewelry shops in the country. Kei requested to make a personalized dog tag for Yuya with his name and birthday and on the other side was Kei’s declaration of love saying
“AS LONG AS YOU KEEP ME I’M YOURS - kei”.
“Nee Chii where should I put this? I don’t like ordinary box, it should also be special.” Kei can’t wait to see Yuya’s face when she gives her gift.
“I think you’ll like this Kei-chan I asked my handyman to make this one just for you” Chii showed her a box but not an ordinary one. The design was two leaves forming a heart shape box.
“Oh my…………..this looks so fabulous!!! Wait let’s go eat my treat!”
At the restaurant……
“Ne, Kei-chan I thought you have a dance today?” the question pop on Chinen’s mind so she asked Kei during their lunch. Kei stopped eating for a moment and after regaining her composure…
“I need to be here on Yuya’s special day so I gave up the show. They really don’t need my presence unlike here.” Lie she knows how badly she was needed but as what others say you can’t get everything, at times you have to choose and in choosing there would always be pros and cons.
“Whatever Kei-chan, you should call him already”
“Oh yeah right, matte”
On the phone……
“Hello Yuya Happy birthday!!!!” Her voice was full of enthusiasm and love for her only boyfriend.
“Thank you.” but Yuya’s voice was a contrasting one like boredom.
“Hey where are you I have something for you by the way.”
“I’m here at my aunt’s house for my allowance”
“Great can we meet at around 1pm at the park?”
“Yeah sure just call me if you’re coming already so I can come early too, we have something to do at school.”
“Ok!! Byebye see you later” and the line died without response from the other end.
The after eating Kei and Chinen walked for some window shopping but Kei’s attention was tracking the time wishing that’s already time to go. Before going at the meeting place, Kei called Yuya but he was out of reach. Another hour pass of the supposed meeting time with none stop calling, Kei stopped sensing that any moment her tears will fall.
“Kei-chan what’s wrong?” Chii knows when her bestfriend has a problem it written all over her face and about to cry.
“He will never show up…..He never takes me seriously.....H-h-he-he” She’s unable to continue, her heart wants to burst out with emotions. Frustration, bitterness and sorrow for the love that is not appreciated. All her efforts to make this day an unforgettable one were wasted.
She was accompanied by Chii returning from the mall, Kei’s mom saw her daughter’s down soul at that instant she knows it was about her boyfriend and instead of giving sermons, she hold her silence and let her daughter went to her room to cry her heart out.
Kei cried until she slept and woke up with the ringing of her phone. She grabbed her phone knowing who her caller was.
“yo!” after everything that happened he still acts like innocent.
“Tell me the reason why you didn’t show up nor answer your phone” she can’t hide how disappointed she was.
“Gomen ne Kei-chan my battery got drained and I thought it was canceled”
“Canceled? I never said anything like that neither did you!” lousy reasoning.
“Hey don’t shout at me!” both them are short tempered so this is a war.
“I have the right to shout! You don’t know what I gave up just to spend this day with you”
“I never said to give up anything for me! It’s you own decision not mine so don’t blame me!”
“I’m not blaming you Yuya but you’re by boyfriend! Baka!” and Kei closed her phone crying
Back to present……
Kei woke up for another ringing of the phone and when she tried getting up a not so heavy arm was on her waist. She saw an angel sleeping, his lashes were long with prominent cheek bones nose that compliments his face shape and lips that look so luscious but then after she noticed that the room was not hers and the guy on the bed was naked. She looked under the blanket only to find out she’s in the same state with the naked one.
“Yabai, I’m in trouble”
A/N Still sick, requirements undone. 2days to go.........I can't decide for a good ending long way to go minna. ^^
