I knew it had been almost a year since we officially fell in love with this house, but I didn't realize it was more than a year already. Looking at last year's entries, it appears we put an offer on it on 1 February, 2008. What a rollercoaster that was! Once you start looking at home listings, it is hard to stop. But I like your house better, and the neighborhood and all of its children is worth a lot too. Plus being so close to UNH. The other one, besides costing more, probably does need a lot of work.

A Victorian that needs a lot of work? Usually needs the heavy, expensive kind of work.

Yeah, that's been my impression, too. I mean, I read Katie's house entries and that alone makes me think twice about a vintage Victorian :D It's a beautiful place, but far more work than David (or me) ever wants to put in. Plus the extra commute, etc. I'm very happy here :)
