First Car Accident

Aug 16, 2007 14:45

So I just got into my first car accident! I guess it was inevitable, but I just got my license yesterday, and the brand new car 3 weeks ago.

Don't worry, everyone's okay. )

Oh you poor thing. It sounds like you've had an awful ordeal - and the worry about your license, I can imagine how you'd have been feeling. I hope it's not long before the car gets fixed. I think what you need to remember is that you were totally innocent in the accident. You couldn't have caused it, or contributed to it in any way. You were only in the wrong place at the wrong time. Take care, and don't let it put you off driving.

hehe glad you're okay! Car accidents are not fun... been in one myself just recently (except I hydroplaned, lol). You'll be okay. Stuff is going to happen... there are lots of dumb people out there and the weather can throw curves at you, but just try to stay alert and do your best to be safe. I find it's when I am getting comfy that I'll see a wreck (like the rollover I saw a couple weeks before I hydroplaned) that reminds me just how random and dangerous driving actually can be. It's a risk to drive, but all in all I think that it's well worth it.

thanks Corby! Yeah, I don't feel that bad about it. I am worried about when the weather gets bad though. Why can't we drive in little train cars, connected to tracks so we can never hit each other?

lol. cause? I've never been in one. and never want to be. one of my friends got in one, by get this, an off duty cop! (The cop rear ended him, and he ended up hitting the car in front of him and that car hit the car in front of the them) So it happens to everyone. Just stay back from other cars, so unlike him it won't be multi-cared. And as my dad taught me. Two hands if it's raining. (yes even now when it rains I have him in my head! gah!) and then, relax. uptight drivers are more likely to cause an accident b/c they aren't technically paying attention to everything. So just chill enjoy it, and be defensive. :D
