This is so great to read! Thank you thank you thank you! I Fully and Completely support the most non-intervention-al birth possible. You should talk to Elizabeth Mauldin Foote--she had a midwife but had the baby at the hospital, but according to her, the hospital was sort of unnecessary, as she walked (or crawled) in and promptly had the baby, intervention free. Anne had her baby at a hospital but now wishes she had gone more natural, as there were complications and she thinks they might have been caused by being in the hospital (she got a fast moving infection from an IV they gave her, and it gave Anne a fever and put the baby into distress and they ended up doing a C-section)and Anne had to stay in the hospital for 3 days. Another friend, Elizabeth who I worked with, had her baby in a hospital and they ended up doing a c-section and then sewed her up wrong, so she can nver have a vaginal birth.
