I NEED A MONOLOGUE!
For my Voice and Movement class, I'm looking for a monologue, especially if it can be tied to a sensory object. I'd love to play someone crazy; that's my ideal. But if you have anything else, any gems you've been hoarding for auditions, please share.
Thanks!

It's called, "I Think About You A Great Deal" by Arthur Miller. It's a piece he wrote about/for a playwrite named Vaclav Havel who was locked up in the Soviet Union for speaking out against the government.
It has been published in a number of places including as a part of a collection of essays and literature called "Living In Truth" that I have a copy of and I believe NCC has a copy of in their library. The piece is essentially Miller pretending that Havel is sitting there and having a conversation with him and telling Havel what his stand means to him. I adore the piece, but perhaps it is a bit too esoteric.
