That's what a lot of this summer has been like - last minute changes.

I'll be home in LaPorte on Thursday, back in B-town by Tuesday most likely.

Summer program is essentially over.  Gave a talk yesterday and just sent my paper to J-dubbs.

Looking forward to being back in Indiana.

It was a nice change.

Arrive back in the dorms from the Big Island and there's a package sitting on my bed.

UV sensitive beads are awesome - I see much fun to come from there.

I made a cool photo (sort of) of Keck opening.

Big things are big.

The thing about big telescopes is that when the sun comes up, it really comes up.

Bulges and disks have different shapes.

The obvious isn't always so obvious when you're observing.

I'm at Keck observing right now which is much fun.  Of course, we're getting hit with the remnants of Hurricane Daniel tonight so we probably won't be doing any observing.  That's okay, it's supposed to be magically clear for our full night tomorrow ( Read more... )

I got a package from Le Mai!!!!
