Just my opinion...

I think people who dress that way (and the people who designed the poster) are much more influenced by Western (particularly American) ideas of dressing and decency, whereas you (and others) are influenced by Asian ideas of decency.

Which results in a lot of clashes. :/

Haha one thing interesting to note, pointed out by fid. You can, by all means enter comp club as you please. It simply states no entry except to computing club students. ain't we all comp club students. ^.^

and anyway, down to the main point, how many a time have you heard MPs and candidates in elections, in every politics, in every country, promise the people something if they are elected, but end up doing nothing much during their terms?
