I had always rather liked the quote, "The way out is the way through," until I learned this morning that it was L. Ron Hubbard who coined the phrase. Now it's just a little bit less motivational, dammit.

i am SOOOOOOOOOO ready to check out for the entire month of december. i think i'm fighting off a cold or virus because i am COMPLETELY wiped out. either that or i've been bitten by some demonic insect--i'm highly allergic to spider bites, and the window was open. when i awoke on monday my right eye was swollen shut, and i feel queasy now. waaah.

update on the blowdrying experiment: yesterday was an utter disaster, brought on by the humidity, the application of far too much mousse and my general inadequacy as a hairstylist. i got soaked in the rain in the evening and thus looked like i had a spiral perm.
