It is always good to know that fans of the theatrical version still exist. Did you hear about the revival where the cast serve as the actors AND the musicians? It apparently results in scenes like Antony and Johanna continue their batty pursuit of each other while Todd and Mrs. Lovett play them forward, as it were. It's a really lovely way of carrying on the whole theme of the way that each individual's actions drive the whole community along.

It's apparently in Chicago right now.

I thought that the hair design for Sweeney and Lovett was an unfortunate reference to Cariou and Lansbury, and entirely stupid in that regard.

Ah, I hadn't realized that you were in Illinois. But ack! Despite my Googling bringing up a reference to Sweeney Todd as part of the Broadway in Chicago series for 2009, it looks as though it actually played in 2008. I feel awful about getting your hopes up.
