Aww that sucks.. I've seen so much of that and it really grinds my gears - not only is it ripping off the designer, but it is also ripping off the consumer as they think they are purchasing a better quality piece than they're actually going to recieve. And I agree that it really isn't that hard to design something unique.

All it does is cheapen the poor sod who decided to buy it - its not an original, will never fit like an original, and all those who are worth their proverbial salt will also know its not when regarding the poor sod in question.
If I had laboured to produce my own designs and build a reputation for beautiful, good quality rubber, I would be incandescent with anger to find shoddy imitations littering the web. Commonplace occurence or not.
