Something that occurred to me today, watching the RK live action trailer (squeee!!) after having seen "The Avengers" and having read a lot about how Mark Ruffalo is surprisingly perfect, redefines that character, etc

See, I just get as far as "Nick Fury = Saito, Y/N?" and my brain shuts down.
(although I could see Misao = Natasha, if Aoshi = Clint, not least because it's canon for Aoshi to be "the guy who spends a lot of the story on the bad guy's side")
Yeah. Further poking has gotten to "Sano = Thor, because OF COURSE HE IS," which makes Megumi the brainy science girl who does not put up with his nonsense, and" Katsu = Tony, because, well, brilliant and quirky and blows stuff up"? I can support Katsu/Tae, so Tae gets to be the amazingly competent assistant who deals well with brilliant, quirky, blows stuff up and ends up running a business.
The main problem is that there is nobody to be Steve. Unless of course it's Saitou, who works well as "man who is rather out of his original culture and having to deal with it, definite moral code and honor-focused"
Yes, I realize Captain America's moral code is NOT in fact "Aku, soku, zan..."
Maybe we could somehow have Steve be an aged up Yahiko, or... a not-aged-up Yahiko which strikes me as somewhat hilarious. (Also I more see Hiko as Tony becuase drinking, arrogance, charming ...okay pottery doesn't quite equate to high tech weaponry, but... and he's the one that pokes at Bruce and knows how to handle him, hee.)
Okay, somehow, Hiko = Tony makes a lot of sense, really. That is scary (alcohol + attitude plus mad skillz ftw!).
I had actually not yet figured out Yahiko, actually. However, Steve = Yahiko does indeed kind of work. And having him be not aged-up would be really funny. Hee.
