(also, apparently the blond is not in fact Enishi; she says that according to the Japanese Warner Bros site, it is in fact Gein. I... have no idea why or how or why, unless he is trying out that Enishi puppet that the boss never lets him use...)

There's always the possibility that this could either be a totally different Gein, or a Gein with similar enough core aspects of the original manga-Gein... :?

I dunno-- the thing is, the manga Gein is supposed to be a fair bit older, and that aspect of Evil Skillful Old Campaigner was one of the clever bits about him-- he's not a guy who has (on his own) the physical skills to necessarily face off against the protags; he has the mental skills sneakiness and the ability to build potentially dangerous or really creepily lifelike puppets.

Could always be a completely different Gein. Hmm. Still looks like it's Kanryuu's mansion (considering the settings we are likely to encounter). Maybe he doesn't get the standard Oniwabanshu this time around? The lack of trenchcoat-wearing kodachi users is somewhat odd...

I support this wishful thinking! Although, of course, without being able to chant the names of his four comrades who were slaughtered by the Gatling gun, Aoshi's total possible dialogue will be cut by at least 50%...
