Hilary Duff on the Cover?!

Hilary Duff is on the cover of the September issue. I don't know wh'ats going on here. (Personally, I'd lke to see Meg White on the cover. She should have a few things to say about being one of the few female drummers out there

My subscription is up, thank god, but I'm going to keep this community on my list for the commentary so I'll know if (however unlikely the situation may be) the magazine ever stops sucking.

I think the magazine started to really suck as soon as they put Mischa Barton, Christina Aguilera, Paris Hilton, Linsday Lohan, and Hilary Duff on the cover.

Yeah. that's why I'm not renewing my subscription next year.

my subscription just ran out and like you guys, definitely not renewing. i honestly don't think i touched the last few issues. i used to seriously read it cover to cover the second i got it in the mail

Me too, the last few issues I haven't even been able to find much worth reading in Jane. :(

Yeah.
Except for some of the celebrity voice mails.
this month it's Courtney Taylor-Taylor from the Dandy Warhols. That's the only cool thing about this months iddue.
Unless JANE starts putting people like Drew Barrymore, Angelina Jolie, Naomi Watts, Renee Zellweger, and Maggie Gyllenhaal on the cover, I'm not renewing my subscriptio next year.

i haven't even taken the latest out of the plastic yet (and how annoying is the plastic to hold in all of the advertisements???). i used to read them all the way through the day i got them, and now? now i leaf through it and throw it away a few months later having never really sat down and gone through it. i just don't care anymore.

They sent me a "automatic" renewal notice in the mail. You know the kind... where they keep sending you magazines assuming you're going to renew so your "service is not interrupted".

I mailed it back, with the cancel box checked.

Then... for spite, in classic Jane fashion, I attached a post-it. It read, "Maybe I wouldn't have to cancel if Jane hadn't turned into such garbage. Please cancel any remaining issues you might be sending. I don't want them."

*sigh*
