P.S. I am reading Mansfield Park and not liking it a bit. It reads like a parody of the books I have read (Pride & Prejudice and Emma), and Fanny is so irritating and uninspired/ing. G'dmmt, I defended this book in advance to all sorts of people. Austen, I feel betrayed.

Oh dear, that's not good. :( Perhaps you just need to give it some time? I know I had to when I was reading Sense & Sensibility.

I'm about halfway through it now, and mmm. Mm. I like it more than I did when I started it, but I still find it rahther crummy.

Only the love and mercy of Our Lord Jesus Christ can help you now, Sophia.

Wow.
That just came out really fast.

Aww, I really love that book.
(Tip: watch the movie before continuing! I usually don't like doing such a thing, but it helps in this case. And the actor who plays Edmund is hot.)

Oh, but I HATE having the movie-ideas in my head instead of the book-ideas. The Pride and Prejudice movie absolutely dominated the book as I read it, because the movie was so exhaustively faithful.
