Pah. NHS website says I have swine 'flu. Of course it might be wrong, since as a diagnostic tool it seems a bit of a blunt instrument, but whatever it is it does feel rather like being hit with a ton of bricks :-(

One day there will be a proper update in this journal (I have all sorts of notes and drafts for one) but today is not that day...

Oh dear. *hugs*, and I hope it turns out to be something relatively benign and non-infectious (or at least that you get off with a relatively mild dose!)

Snap! It's a bit of a blunt tool but it covers the major likely symptoms and includes checks on the most dangerous alternatives for differential diagnosis.

I am beginning to feel like I might be able to function normally in a day or two (having first got ill on Tuesday afternoon/evening)

Sympathies to you too! And thanks for that, it's useful to have some idea of timescale. I plan to thoroughly rest over the weekend letting Skordh do everything with the kids (except breastfeeding!) so hopefully by Monday I'll be able to manage well enough.
