Dear (yo), LJ friends

As promised here is my update for today.  Thank you Chicky824  and poopbullet  for nudging me.  You guys are going to regret asking for this one!  Seriously though, if this is to be a regular thing you will have to nudge me every week and I will have to be really bored at work to consistently. Les the subject is just for you!

As I always do in LJ I will start off complaining.  Actually more like my suggestions to fix the world b/c most people in it are extremely annoying.  I am trying to make the world a better and safer place!

I that I think we should be allowed to hit people when they are annoying or do something socially unacceptable.   You say, No, “Jane you are crazy!”  Wait… listen to my reasoning and you may change your mind.

If a dog does something you don't want him to do and you hit him it becomes can become a learned response that if I do this then this happens.  Then the dog learns that I don't want this to happen so I shouldn't do this.

So why can't it work for adults.  It works for children (not that I condone hitting kids).  My example is the person walking down the stairs to the subway who stops when they get to the end decides to take a moment to contemplate life ECT.  I should get to hit them.  After a couple of hits the person would soon realize consciously or subconsciously that ohh stopping here means I get hit. Why don't I stop somewhere else.

If you say oohhh that wouldn't work for people it would only work for dogs.

Talk to any kid who has gotten a burney from the stove.   No matter how many times mommy said the stove it hot don't touch it, some kids just never learn until they actually get a burn themselves.

OK back to my subway person.  I also feel hitting that person is safer for them in the long run. Like if you hit a kid who walks into the street you are trying to protect them for walking out into the street and getting hit by a car the next time.   I am not always that alert when walking around so one day, if this hitting people is not implemented into society, that person may stop at the bottom of the stairs and I hear the train coming so I start to run down the stairs and I won't notice that person stopped at the bottom and I will bump into them sending them flying onto the tracks to get smushed by the train.

Now wouldn't you rather get hit a couple of times and live or be killed by an oncoming train

I am actually saving lives!!!!

Speaking of not being that alert.  Downtown Manhattan is trying to kill me.  Someone needs to start hitting me.  On most days the streets by my job are all closed to cars during work hours because I guess there are just too many people walking around and the sidewalks aren’t big enough.  So I have gotten used to just walking into the street by my job and going along my merry way.  Well this was no so safe for me yesterday when I walked into the street, not once but twice with out looking and walked practically in front of an oncoming car.

Football sucks, especially Indy.  They ruined my dreams of thinking I actually made good football predictions and winning the work pool.

I have dark brown hair now. It’s a big change and my hair has not been back to its original color in I think like 6 years.  I have been trying to grow it out for a couple of months to get used to the brown but the dark roots and blonde bottom was driving me crazy.  I feel I look very goth and being as pale as I am blonde hair suits me better but I am going to try this for a while and see if I can learn to like it.

My tidbit of knowledge for the day is:
If you are skiing and you see a small patch in front of you with no snow on it and it looks like a one foot patch of grass saturated even overflowing with water that you can easily hydroplane/glide right over b/c you have enough speed  to cross  it.  THINK AGAIN.   I found out the hard way on Saturday.  Your skis immediately stop the second they hit grass no matter how much it looks like a puddle that you should be able to glide over.   I looked like an absolute moron the way I violently stopped and almost tumbled over my skis.

We had Monday off for the birth of MLK Jr.   Having Mondays off always throws my whole week off b/c I expect it to be this great short week but I hype it up too much in my mind I always think its later in the week that it actually is and then the week just turns out to a long drawn out disappointment.  It was even worse this week b/c on Tuesday morning I had a dream that I woke up and it was Friday morning and when it came time to actually wake up for a little while I believed that my dream was real and it was Friday morning.  I ended up having 4 days ahead of me when I thought I had a couple of hours ahead of me before the weekend. How do you recover from that! You can trick yourself into thinking one day is not a big deal… but 4 whole days?!?!?

Wow, I officially think this is my longest post ever and I apologize for all you people that had to read it
