COMMUNITY KWANZAA CELEBRATION THIS FRIDAY
Blacks for Effective Community Action (BECA) invites all Davis families and community members to celebrate Kwanzaa at a free event Friday, December 30th from 7-9pm at the Lutheran Church of the Incarnation at the corner of Russell and Arthur, just west of Highway 113.  Bring a dessert to share if you can.

in the evening DKC held a Thanksgiving Banquet at the DHS MPR. There were much more people this year! The dinner was DELISH, as always. It was a Korean/American combo...turkey and kimchee sitting next to each other like it's no thing. And that's the way I felt the whole night. We have a great range of culture at DKC. I can't seem to get the movie Crash out of my mind ever since I watched it this morning. I came to this conclusion: arguments (as opposed to debates), disrespect, and suspicion are a one-way path to murder and destruction. They lead to pain and death. Let's avoid these at all cost!

Climate Committee Meeting with Guests Davis Police Officer Briesenick, member of the Yolo County Gang Task Force.

Officer Briesenick will detail the list of gang criteria and explain the history of police taking pictures of students on campus and off campus (the Gang Task Force took pictures of DHS students on campus earlier this year).
