Maybe the hesitancy was because it was real hesitancy. As in he's worried about being able to memorise it all- and the planned meet ups were more about fun and getting to know each other than this one that is kind of when you need to be more in a 'working mood'? I don't know since I wasn't there. But maybe something like that?
And yes, its easier to flirt with attached guys (or ones I somehow find out later are going out with somebody) generally for what you said, no expectations of anything.
That would make sense I guess. If he doesn't want to practice together I'm perfectly happy to just hang out :P In fact I'm using his suggestion of extra practice as a bit of an excuse to hang out with him.
Ooh but finding out later that they're going out with someone can be a disappointment, surely?
I know the feeling. I've had some really close friendships grow out of flirting and then discovering the guy was attached. It's hard to completely forget the initial feeling though.
