You ought to try a wine festival. P and I went to the one in Bernalillo (near Albuquerque, NM) during labor day weekend for a couple of years in a row and learned a lot about what we liked and didn't like. There's one in Austin, TX, but it is actually cheaper to fly from Austin to Bernalillo for their wine festival than to attend in Austin.

BTW, don't judge Texas by Houston or Dallas - actually all the cities are pretty unique. When I was doing investigations all over the state, I learned that each city has a pretty distinct personality, and most of the towns fit into basic categories.

I would love to go to a wine festival!

I've heard really good things about some of the cities in Texas . . . Austin in particular.

Yes, I liked that movie a lot. I'll have to see it again now that I've actually enjoyed some wine.
