hello world

I woke up a bit early today (three PM, which is pretty good considering that I got home from work at 7:00 AM). I have an unusual amount of energy, which I will use to tackle apartment cleaning (I was gone all last week and my Mom will be here tomorrow--my husband kept everything pretty neat, but I've got tons of clutter everywhere), laundry (bleck ( Read more... )

Oh gosh, was your experience on the new job like mine? When I started, I was lost in how HUGE this company is and how much there is to learn. Dealing with parent companies, branches, ALL of the different departments you have to go through to get one thing done....at times I seriously didn't think I would make it a year.

Yes, it is huge. For me, it is like having two different jobs at once. One is learning this incredibly complex operational side (it's so hard!) and the other is making myself into the type of leader they want to have. I just feel mentally exhausted at the end of the way.

I would have sent you this kitten we found, but there wasn't anything wrong with it and I know you have a weakness for the gimped out kitties.

Yeah. Unless they were rejected by God, I want nothing to do with them.

OH, and I keep forgetting to remind you, please always remember that Steven and I have a guest bedroom for you and Ford in case you ever want to stay in Memphis. I know you have family and stuff here that you may stay at, but please remember our door is ALWAYS going to be open to the two of you if you ever visit.

But do you have a tiny, cell-like panic room in your new place? You know that I enjoy being locked in by my host.

"Sometimes I think about people who have kids and how different their lives must be. Like, they probably would have to choose between Guitar Hero and doing the laundry."

more like choosing between buying guitar hero or buying door gates and new car seat since she's out growing her old one ....

too bad she's too young for guitar hero otherwise i could justify it as a developmental toy .....

Hi and welcome back.

When did you move to Little Rock and when did you get married?

Weird how things happen when you leave the internets for a while.
