I'm like one of those people who has a baby and can't talk about anything but their baby.
Except it is my dog.
corkyelmendorf came to visit today. We ate chickpeas and rice, watched Top Chef and admired my dog of excellence. I served hummus as an appetizer, which made the meal an automatic fail for creativity due to garbanzo overkill. But it was still -

After reading the His Dark Materials trilogy, I really wished I had a daemon. Now that the movie is coming out, they've got something on the website that lets you take a quiz and find out what yours would be. I have an ermine!

Went to the movies today
phordicus and I went to see Shoot 'Em Up, which I thought was just magnificent. I mean, how many movies are there where a bad guy can order his goons to round up a list of all the "lactating hookers" in town and actually stay on the path of the good guy?

The absolute best part of Snakes on a Plane is when the lights go out on the plane and a guy (off-camera) yells "SNAKES!"
It's totally random and it makes me laugh until my stomach hurts.

I love my dog so much. All I want to do is lie on the couch with her and watch movies (this involves laziness as well as love).
