This chapter really blew my mind the first reading. Firstly that incredibly horrible image of Voldemort's distorted "face" imbedded in the back of Quirrel's head... with all the intrusion into Quirrel's very being implied! I found that incredibly shuddering.

And the ending! With Neville's ten points I fell in love with Dumbledore. (well, and JKR) That was extraordinary. And perfect.

Thank you for this wonderful look again at Book One. :)
