Boring Entry

Mar 11, 2004 17:04

I am being patient sitting quietly waiting for Nannan.

My Individual and Society lecture was more like common sense than anything else. Alex started to draw a map of our travel plans.

Everything I did went wrong this morning but I am going much better this afternoon.

Don't you hate that? catpuccino March 13 2004, 07:53:02 UTC
When everything goes wrong: you're running late, and so the bus stops at every red light, and then 20 old people who move really slow need to get on at each stop. And then as you're rushing to your destination, you trip and drop everything you're holding - so afterwards you have to pick it all up, dust yourself off - take a few deep breaths - glance around to make sure nobody saw you make a big fool out of yourself. Freak out and restrain the urge to give the teenagers standing near you laughing at you the finger. And then finally you arrive and find that you're early anyway.

I'm sorry your morning was cruddy - but I'm happy that it all went well afterwards! :)

Oh next time I am having a bad morning I will think about you little story and feel happy again!

Thanks for sharing it with me. I hope that it is only a hypothetical.

thankyou for the sympathy, although I don't think I deserve it, because my bad morning was in fact self induced.

It's half true - it's a bit exaggerated (for interest and example reasons) - I did fall over - but no one saw - and I did get dirty, but it wasn't too bad. And it wasn't TWENTY old people - more like one or two.. :)
There's this book - it's a little children's book - Alexander's very bad, terrible horrible no good day... (or something along those lines) Lots of bad things happened to him!!! :) And he still survived!!!

I thought it'd be pretty popular in the 6-7year old age bracket!!! :)
Lots of us little kiddies must have read it... right??
And did you read "where the wild things are?" and "possum magic"?.. :)

Yes I did!

I wonder, did you read "You'll Grow into it Titch" or "The Trouble with Mum"?

I still own a copy of Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible No Good very bad day and read it sometimes when I'm in a bad mood. Unfortunately I lent it to Young-suns mum to practise her english. :(

My dad says he is holding on to all these books so he can read them to his grandchildren. So we have a vast array of childrens literature.
