Janet was sitting cross-legged on her bed, books from the library piled around her, seeing if there was anything she could find to help create an antidote to the poison. The door was open and she could be interrupted, though.

After visiting Angel in the clinic last night, Veronica had stayed up late pouring over some of the information she'd gotten from special collections yesterday.

She hadn't come up with anything, so she decided to stop by and see if Janet had better luck.

She walked down to the second floor with two travel mugs of coffee and a couple muffins left over from her and Piper's trip to J, GOB yesterday.

"I come bearing caffeine," she said from Janet's doorway.

Janet looked up and smiled tiredly. She didn't want to admit that she'd been too preoccupied with research to sleep. "Oh, thank God," she said gratefully, shoving a book off her lap and waving Veronica inside. "I was just thinking about taking a break for coffee too. Your timing is great."

Veronica walked in and handed Janet one of the mugs of coffee. "I didn't know how you took it, so it's black," she said. "Do you mind if I shut your door? I need to talk to you about something and I'd rather not having any wandering shrubbery overhear it."

"It depends on the kind of mood I'm in," said Janet. She took a long drink from the mug. "This morning, I take my coffee black." She looked at Veronica curiously, then grinned wryly. "Sure, shut the door. Sometimes I wonder about that wandering shrubbery."
