"Crap," Elizabeth winced as she headed across to the expresso maker. She didn't dare tell Janet that inanimate objects didn't usually respond to glaring.
Janet nodded and finally pressed the power button, then shut the laptop. Very, um, firmly. "Maybe Sam can help me." She glanced up at Liz, then smiled. "Hi. And are you making coffee?"
Sam poked her head in. "Did you hear the radio? Camulus is gone." She frowned, "I'm just not sure whether that means we need to contact Colorado about a possible invasion or throw a drunken bash."
She paused, rolled her eyes, and said, "Good morning, my subjects--I am the Queen of Electricity." She waved the multi-colored scepter, "Aren't you thrilled?"

"Whatever it is, I didn't do it!"

She failed miserably. Thank God she could hunt down Sam and bribe her to deal with it.

"What the hell are you wearing on your head?" asked Janet. "And I'm sorry, Queen of Electricity? I hope you don't expect tribute or anything."
She giggled again, even if it meant Sam was going to kill her.
